I really like your style.

I think the main issue I have is your values are so close together lights/dark's/shadows and asset colors, I'd say try darkening up your shadows and darker areas. to any items are grey as well or similar tones of grey.

unfortunately good artwork does sell indie games, cant really suggest anything as the graphics are really vague at best. I'd say go through all kinds of game art of a similar vein and pick maby 3 styles that would fit the game well.

Well, if you are starting from scratch, I'd say make a mock up project as if you were making for a real game/company. create all the elements involved. do two or three of these projects. that way you can stay consistent with your art and carry a theme as well. Random stuff is good too.

This is more of a concept artist way of doing things but I do find it handy. Just my 2c.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

I'm working on proper full screen atm since it needs a bit of a work around to fit all resolutions, also Ive been working on the save+load+repair+ area separation room/system thing. which will be in every level area. Also got my art style worked out for the test main event area sorted which separates all the area's.

So far I've got 6'ish areas worked out and am looking at at least 5-6 hours of game play.

Will have more screens and updates by weeks end.
