Hey, great job. Sorry if this has been asked before: how big exactly is your team? ie. How many people were on the project? (I'm always curious about this). Thanks!

Apparently they were 28 people at some point. I'm curious how a new indie studio could have funded that (though they started with 11).

Congrats on the awards! What a groundbreaking indie game! Did you do any kind of pre-release marketing or did Humble (via publishing deal) do all that?

This brings back so many memories. Btw, we just updated the game and there's only a few more days left for our weeklong sale!

In case you've been wanting to try out the current iteration of Exogenesis, we now have a free demo on Steam! Have at it!

After an insanely long and troubled development, this game is finally on Early Access! We need a couple more months of development to completion, so the game is 90% complete, but we need Early Access to hopefully bring us to the finish line.

Check us out on Steam https://store.steampowered.com/app/1041270/Exogenesis_Perils_of_Rebirth//.
Or itch.io for the DRM-free version. https://exogenesisvn.itch.io/exogenesis-perils-of-rebirth

We're still looking.  Cheesy
7  Jobs / Offering Paid Work / [PAID] KS-funded Greenlit Adventure Needs Unity Dev on: December 28, 2014, 08:53:32 PM
Hey guys, we're looking for a Unity programmer to join us for around three months at least, hopefully on a full-time capacity. You can learn all about the project on our KS page, including where we're at at the moment in terms of programming i.e. we have a framework in place and need someone to build the game with it, meaning there will probably be little plugin/custom script work necessary, if any. You can contact us at [email protected] with all the pertinent info for your application.

Thanks!

Since a lot of people seem interested in Steam Greenlight stats, here's how it looks like for Exogenesis. We launched on Greenlight April 23 and got greenlit with the April 29 batch. I hope this helps!

Almost 50% there... I hope we don't slow down too much in "the trough".

Got some really exciting updates. We got greenlit in just 7 days, and Zero Escape creator Kotaro Uchikoshi gave us a shout-out! We talk about it in this update.

I know it's an overly late update, but we just launched on Kickstarter and we'll take all the help we can get!  Toast Right

So please check us out at Kickstarter and Steam Greenlight.

Thank you!

Now we have a new version with improved writing and some optimizations. Smiley

We actually debated over that. Everyone's aware what characters in post-apocalyptic literature usually look like, but thinking about it, if it's been decades since civilization started getting back on its feet, people should be able to find ways to wash their clothes. We still need to find a delicate balance for this. For example, Eiji's clothes are clean because he's got a place to go home to. Most non-essential characters wear clothes with apparent wear and tear.

Thanks for playing demo!

So... any thoughts so far?

Well, now that we're relatively sure there's nothing game-breaking (except maybe for a certain item some people get stuck on), and the only somewhat major gripe that only a few people brought up is that we need to iron out some awkwardness in the writing, let me share the demo. Feel free to rip it apart - we don't make any excuses and take feedback VERY seriously!

In case you haven't heard, there's an on-going movement to support Zero Escape 3 and help it get funded. You can check out https://www.facebook.com/operationbluebirdze3 or add Kotaro Uchikoshi on Facebook yourself at https://www.facebook.com/kotaro.uchikoshi.

Let's all support ZE3!

Alright, we're definitely gonna come up with another revision.  Beer!

You're only the second person to have told us about having difficulty reading that part, but I've definitely been mulling cutting it short. It's supposed to be very short, but our animator wanted to play with it. Tongue

Pardon the lack of updates. Everything's taking longer than expected, especially with the holiday season. But we finally have a website!
