Player / General / Re: 1,000 gamemakers thread

The indie game scene has become so large and with so many games, it's nearly impossible to find hidden gems. Really, I would be highly interested in a website which is specifically devoted to coverage and curation of indie games. There was Kill Screen.... but it's dead now?
But yea, there needs to be more threads like 1k Game Makers, it was interesting to read through.
How many of those games have you actually played? That's like my main worry about this sort of curation. I feel like a lot of content on twitter gets liked, but not actually visited / played / viewed. It's about knowing about the game and not about playing it.

two new games
camus' sokoban camus' sokoban is a demake of a myth.
in it, you push a box over and over, wrapping over the game world until the game stops making sense.
this is also a letter for droqen and pierrec two people who are making wonderful things on the internet.
physics game physics game is a proposal for fun. it requires two players and a sheet of paper with specific words written on it.
the players are then responsible for making their own game using the instructions provided in the game itself.
the game is then kept as a memento of the fun times they've had.

This is interesting, I almost clicked "letter 1 (for her") then thought.. but that's not me, I should leave it for her.
IDEA GUY in incognito: the text is shaking
and screw it I'm playing the letter. interesting
That's what I'm hoping for. People hesitating to play the games because of their nature, or being so curious that they go against their initial perception of the project. Or just being shitty people and clicking on all the links to make sure no one gets to play anything Did you read the info page for each game you played? Or those you didn't get to play?

I broke the breakout one, the ball got stuck at an angle bouncing back and forth forever against the boundaries... so I refreshed and got locked out...
that's the point. the game either slows down to a point where it becomes too much of a chore to finish, or it just gets stuck.

launches tomorrow. ongoing project. This is for me a way to get systems out of my system. It's a collection of passing thoughts, ideas that I think are worth putting in game form. In the age of The Witcher 3, I'm trying to figure out how to design disposable games. Games that only one individual will be able to play. I will be posting here about the process of creating disposable games, what went into the development of each game and how I'm feeling about the project as a whole.
