Thanks! You are right about the login, when on Facebook App Center it should definitely just log in automatically. I will make a note to make that happen.

Working on a crime game inspired by the old 2D GTA games, with inspiration from crime shows like The Wire and Breaking Bad (drug themed).

The gameplay places you, the player, in your neighborhood streets. Vile drug dealers occupy the corners, slinging their wares to passers by. Armed with a .45 sidearm, you set out to clear the corners and stake your own claim to the street's ample illicit cash flow.

From hawking product to street walkers, you are able to draft local delinquents into your organization and set them up on the corners with a package. Do collection runs and manage the supply to keep business flowing.

Hungry upstarts pose a constant competitive threat and must be dealt with when they trespass into your turf and set up shop. Stronger crews require a more imposing presence, and may require that you jump new recruits in as soldiers to form your armed entourage. With time, your soldiers may become a formidable force as they acquire improving skills and equipment.

The game contains an online component, connecting you directly with other players in other neighborhoods. Some will be experienced operators offering product at advantageous prices. Others may proffer friendship and join you, fighting side-by-side with you against your enemies in real-time cooperative play. Others again will be lowly thieves and robbers, looking to creep into your neighborhood and jump your dealers for their income.

Grow your respect by business savvy and raw force. Acquire wealth to suit your status. Establish your name in your city and across the game world.

Available on Google Play and in the Facebook App Center. Coming soon to IOS.

At the moment, once you deploy a dealer you can't move him or change him into a soldier. I definitely think you should be able to move him, we will get that fixed. As far as promoting to soldier there is some question of balance, like the player might use this to make dealers double as soldiers just when he needs them, which I'm not sure is a good thing, but will think about that some more.

Just found that too! Well 25 is out, hopefully a different number will work without infringing on trademarks or something.

Great thoughts and yeah, I would like to make that game now Smiley. As an aside, I am seriously considering settling on a great title first, for my next project, and let that guide the game design.

Anyway, the game is very much towards realism, not really mayhem in the GTA vein. In that sense "25" makes more sense and is probably more recognizable even if it doesn't pop like "99". It could also be 15, 20, 30, etc. Is any one better than the others?

Thanks crumpet for the excellent breakdown (I now want to make that kind of game). But the other guys are right, it is supposed to evoke a prison sentence. The game is a crime game, sort of a mix of old-school 2D GTA and business sim, you build up a brutal crime empire. Will show it later if there's interest.

Knowing this, how do you rate it? I picked it because I like the ring of it, but it is a little off because this kind of sentence is usually something like '25 to life' (25 years until possibility for parole), '99 to life' would be an unusual sentence, so that might make the message unclear. How does "25 to Life" work do you think?

Guys, I need help determining a good name. I find it very difficult to judge these impartially!

First off, this is the name I've come up with:

99 to Life

What do you think of this name? What kind of game do you expect? Your input will help me a lot to know if I'm in the ballpark. I will wait with revealing the game as I'd like your completely unbiased opinions. Thanks!

I built a game and have no idea what to call it!

What would you call a game where you build a drug dealing empire, starting from nothing, to take over corner after corner from competing dealers in hails of gunfire, recruiting workers along the way and setting them up on the street to move product, or using them as soldiers in your personal entourage?

The setting is heavily inspired by GTA:San Andreas and the Baltimore of The Wire.

Gameplay revolves around clearing out additional areas, while doing collection runs to your dealers, and taking care of new upstarts setting up on your territory. As your operation grows, you hook up with distributors so you can take home product in bulk, increasing profits from your street dealers and allowing you to sell batches to other players. As your wealth swells, you move into real estate, owning more and more of your neighborhood and upgrading the buildings to create greater revenue flow.

Everything takes place in 2.5D isometric view, real-time action. Lot of shootouts, with dynamic environment that takes damage when the bullets start flying. The game is played primarily as single player, each player having their own world (neighborhood), but players can run missions against each other, in which case the attacking player shows up in the target's world and attempts jackings on the target and his dealers. Players can also trade with each other as mentioned, high level players providing lower level players with product at good prices. Assist missions let players help each other against their enemies, be they human or AIs.

As you might notice the game is a cross-over of several genres: Action, RTS, business sim, bit of RPG, plus the whole multiplayer dimension.

The game is fairly far along in development, will supply a link later. But for now my main concern is coming up with a catchy title for the concept. So if you got something, I would love to hear it!
