I am composing a soundtrack for a 8-bit style game and I use mainly Magical 8bit Plug along with basic square wave mono-synths and, of course, the classic tape echo/delay effect. That is a fantastic effect. I actually met two of the members of that band last week. they were really friendly and gave me their business cards.

Here's a link to my latest tune http://soundcloud.com/cheapshot/rick-dangerous-iiiThere is an EP of game-orientated music called "Kapow" on there, too. I made it for the Assemblee competition. I would really like to write music for games, particularly shmups or racing games. so if anyone has a project they could use some fast paced crazyness, get in touch. /cheapshot

4) ... dun dun dun... with enemies comes... BOSS MUSIC! Haha. Just swapped out the music as the one track was getting repetitive (and also I freaking love cheapshot's track!) This track will actually be played when you reach the 'boss chamber' of a level, along with other epic changes that I will not yet reveal!
Oh heck yeah! There's the boss theme Thanks for using it /bow Just need to see the boss noew :D

cheapshot: I think this game needs a BOSS! Just throwing ideas out here, but what if you didn't fight the boss directly, but had to lead it into other monsters / pits / lava pools with your excellent mobility? Maybe said boss could wallwalk and doublejump There's an idea!
