Also remember to compress the 808 at 4:1 ratio, turn the attack down and release up all the way, and crank the input volume up until its waveform becomes a sausage of bass. My threshold's usually around -15.

^^^^ Dropped a comment on your soundcloud
Anyways, I dig your stuff! You effectively combine 8 bit and modern sounds. If I had one thing I would like to see in your tracks, though, it's beefier bass drums. I'd high-pass the chip bass drum and throw a low-passed 808 under it with some EQ, I imagine that would sound nice.

I use Reason. Here are a few of my tracks that aren't currently used in games: http://shufflebitsound.bandcamp.com/Encouraged to see others using this software. I'm willing to answer any questions I can about chiptunes in Reason 6 and general mixing/orchestration/theory stuff. So, tell me what you usually use. You've got an authentic chiptune sound.

I just joined these forums and I'm so glad that there's a strong, if not small, community of reason users on here. Not that I hate on other DAWs. I'm just starting up with Reason and going through the motions of learning each instrument and effect piece by piece. It was also pretty awesome finding out that they'll have rack extensions(read:proprietary vsts, but hey it's something) coming out soon. Anyway, I've lurked these forums for a while and figured I should post something.
Also Postpre, that Battle1 track was great. I grooved to it for a bit today.
Welcome and thanks for groovin out to my track. I'm pumped for rack extensions like Dormin. Hopefully they stay on schedule and release it early summer, and hopefully I've saved up some money to buy all of them. I'm really pumped for BitSpeak so far.

"Your Gravity" is freakin awesome. If I were making a game, I would get you on board ASAP.

I like your music a lot! It kind of reminds me of mine. These are nice tracks.
Much appreciated! I'll have to find some of your tracks, Dooleus. And I've already given you a good listen, Brother Android.

Hey, sound designer here. I wouldn't be on board this project if I didn't feel Ouren was a genuinely driven person who could see an idea to fruition. His sheer enthusiasm was almost blinding to me at the start of the project. He's a 2D and 3D artist who's capable of churning things out at a crazy rate when he focuses, as well as a writer and idea man who's got a genuine love for vidja games.
Furthermore, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I feel like the more long-time posters here love to gang up on new-comers and pass it off as some type of justified "hazing". All I can see is insecurity, folks.
Please end this derail. I hope to see more talent on board this project.
