Oh wow, thanks @YnniK, @oleomingus!
@ryansumo thank you too. i'm working in photoshop and you are right :D it was my first spritesheet i did and it evolved about 4weeks but i wasnt working steady on it. i think there is much more space to cut things (like said before to maybe mirror the left right movement in code) and when you look at it, the slowest movement got still 16 frames and the rest is getting shorter and shorter :D much to improve

I've always been afraid to try pixel art, but today I took a crack at it. What do you guys think?
looks cool,the feet of the characters are irritating me somehow. what about animating?

Today i got the "core mechanic" kinda finished. its quite a lot to do but since its screenshotsaturday i wanted to create one too. Next i think going back to the graphics and work a little on some schatten (cant wait for this since i started to transform the idea to pc).  (i like that gyfcat name generation)

Why are you so contra? I think its good that the topic came up and that we discuss about it lively. Its a serious topic and i think its way to raw discussed since look at all the female heros in most games. Sex sells and reproduces roles. I think its worth talking about it

wow, you have a sweet style. reminds me definitly of these old rpgs in a mystical way, with some woodkid flavor. i have 1 critic point: the symbol lines of the bone beneath doesnt match, oh i see right now, you postet a symbolsheet as well. ok, so "ixion" is imo to near at reality compared to the abstract level of the other symbols. i drops kinda out. what you think?

Been working on city districts this week. This is how they look on the world map:  this is so awesome. i dig the way you handle your tools generally like that approach to keep it raw and take what the tool is giving me. (also love the doorpicture with depth of the tigtumblr post btw)

 Last days i was listening to this a lot and it made my latenight hours full of pixelpainting even sweeter. Oh i just checked Yume Nikki and it looks extreme cool and after reading a little on wikipedia (i stopped fast to get this game played first  ) it seems there are a few similarities to the story of mori. very interesting tip you gave me there, thank you for that. the death animation is already updated (as you can see on the spritesheet above). i didnt like the old one either
