Invoking a PHP script or otherwise is how I would handle it.

You don't have to set up any email server or anything either, just use php's mail function.  Although, if you don't have a valid return address (e.g. [email protected]) many spam filters will cut you out.

Obviously that'll change depending on your hosting, etc...

Sos did something like this with that one game where you kill all the cute fuzzy things.

It actually looked really cool the way he did it too.
