Actually, war does change every now and again. But hey, it's Fallout!
62  Player / General / Re: TIGSTWG XI - Spaghetti Werewolves [Night 4] on: October 12, 2008, 08:20:16 AM
Inane could explain it better than me. Leading to-

You drink the mead. Suddenly, you feel great. You feel really great! Colors are more vivid, people all have this funny geometric look to their face,  and as they talk their mouths rattle. Life has never been better!
Then you're dry-heaving and stuff is a lot worse.

However, you do come out of this with the permanent ability to see whoever uses an item.

And then this happened.

Suddenly, your surroundings change, from that of the saloon to in Renton's room. He's sitting at a desk with a typewriter, and doesn't seem to notice you. It appears he's using a magic item! He types something short on the machine. 5 or 6 letters.

For a few seconds, nothing happens, but soon, the typewriter starts clacking at astounding speed, writing something on it's own, and your head starts to hurt. Badly. Your vision blacks out as the pain grows worse and worse, and soon you can feel it spread outward from your mind.

You wake up, and you immediately realize what the pain was. It was your body reconfiguring itself. You are now a werewolf. This change is permanent and cannot be undone. Your power has also changed; you've lost the ability to protect people at night, but you can kill one person in the night, without incriminating yourself. You do retain your ability to see who uses items, however.

Also, as a werewolf, you may vote to kill one person a night, and to win the game you must kill every human.
Your new allies have also been notified of your change, and will most likely contact you.

Renton, ya helped win it for the wolves and for that, I am happy.  Evil

Wow, I didn't expect to actually win for a bit. At least, not alive.

Okay, first things first... The first time that I collapsed was because I drank my special item, the Sweetest Mead. It allowed me to see whenever someone used an item. Second time was because of Renton's tomfoolery with that typewriter.

And, just before Garthy's death, he handed me the Honest Tea Kettle, which would prevent one person from voting for the day.

Shocked  WTF What the hell are you two lookin' at me like that for? Dammit, fellas, what did I do to you?

Cheater, Valter only suspected me because of my vote for 'im, even though I was suspicious of him, myself.

Neon, I'm afraid I have nothing to go on as proof of innocence besides the fact that I killed Melly. Now if you'll excuse me, I'd like to light up before you all lynch me for absolutely no god-damned reason whatsover.

*Xotes is true to his word and whips out another cigar, promptly lights it and begins smoking it as if it was the last thing he'd ever smoke.*

Aw, you wanna stop? Well, it's understandable, I guess. BUT. You'd better come back to it at a later date, then. GOT IT?
66  Community / Bootleg Demakes / Re: Freefall Brass: A Texty Space-Sim [DEMO] on: October 04, 2008, 08:50:54 AM
Holy hell that was awesome. If you made the music, ya did a fantastic job.

I have to agree on some of the interface comments, and it annoyed me that I couldn't figure out how to order them in mid-battle after I got stuck scrolling through the enemy list.

Otherwise, though, top-notch!

*Xotes returns from his house, smoking another cigar and looking good as new. He tips his hat to GeneralValter.*

So, what'd I miss? Otaku42, you say? Well, the good General has never failed us before. Why should he now?
68  Player / Games / Re: Goodness gracious fellows, Cave Story for WiiWare, what? I say! on: October 02, 2008, 12:52:05 PM
DO NOT BLAS-PHEME!

Okay, in all seriousness Cave Story was very good, very fun and I had a great time with it. I see why almost everybody loves it so much, mainly because it was pure, distilled, 8-bit quality gaming. Sure, a few bosses were just... there, and HEWHOMUSTNOTBENAMEDWITHOUTSPOILERS is a pain in the ass to beat, but it was still helluva fun.
69  Player / General / Re: TIGSTWG XI - Spaghetti Werewolves [Day 3] on: October 02, 2008, 12:42:53 PM
Hol-eeee SHI-HIT, I'm not lucky today, am I? I think that's the last of things... At least I hope so. Maybe I shouldn't have drunk that booze...

Anyway, I think I'll be fine for now, so I'll follow the good General's vote for shinygerbil. *hurk* oh lawd I'm gonna go to my house now...

*With his vote in and everything he rushes off to his home, bent over and clutching his stomach.*

70  Player / General / Re: TIGSTWG XI - Spaghetti Werewolves [Day 3] on: October 01, 2008, 09:39:01 PM
What do you mean, Xion? I feel great! Sure, the dry-heaving and everything was bad, but before that I was seeing everything! EVERYTHING! The colors were all so vivid and you guy's faces were all geo- geomete- Funny looking! And your mouths were rattling all funny when you talked! An- oh lawd...

*Xotes falls back down and dry-heaves a few more times, but is soon back up and good as new. The grin is still plastered on, and his pupils are still dilated, but the latter is remedied when he pulls down his goggles once more. He gratefully accepts Xion's offer this time, and takes a gulp of the most likely boozific liquid within. He then hands the flask back to Xion and wipes off his (own) mouth.*

Holy SHIT, did someone do something to me when I was asleep or something? I mean, I felt wonderful for a bit, and then... Well, I think you all saw for yourselves what happened.

Oh, and mighty fine thanks for the drink, Xion.
71  Player / General / Re: TIGSTWG XI - Spaghetti Werewolves [Day 3] on: October 01, 2008, 08:22:52 PM
Very well, General, I retract my vote for you for now, mainly because your reasoning for the moment has convinced me. Well, that, and the pig/wolf killings. I can respect a man for that. I voted mainly because I was suspicious, but I also wanted to gauge your reaction a bit.

On the subject of a drink, I feel thirsty myself. I'll join you, if it's all right. I'll pay, too.

*Xotes moves on to his third cigar, having ground up the previous two with his MIGHTY BOOT.*
72  Player / General / Re: TIGSTWG XI - Spaghetti Werewolves [Day 3] on: October 01, 2008, 05:10:46 PM
If you are going to accuse me, General, at least capitalize my name when you speak.  Anyway, I've suffered from that inability to sleep syndrome or whatever they call it for several years now, and what with the whole werewolfery going on, I decided to put it to use in these turbulent times.

Call me what you will, but I am purely benevolent. At least, towards humans. These wolves and pigs are all clamoring for a bullet to the brainpan in my opinion. And even if you aren't one of them, you DO seem to be... less than lawful, if I say so myself.

Anyway, I'm going to die tonight, that much I do know. Whether it be by an angry lynch mob or wolves or pigs or something else, I don't know. I do know that you are not working for us, and that's more than enough for me.

*Xotes moves on to his second cigar of the day, and tips his hat to the judges for his not half-bad score.*
73  Player / General / Re: TIGSTWG XI - Spaghetti Werewolves [Day 3] on: October 01, 2008, 04:28:25 PM
Well, GeneralValter, I feel my suspicions about you have been verified, or at least are closer to confirmation. See, last night, I was unable to sleep, see. And I heard a scream, so I grabbed my rifle and rushed out to your house. There, I saw none other than our departed friend robotacon, on the ground,  clutching  his foot and crying. He crawled back to his house, apparently not dead, but then this happened, what with the disembowling and arm-ripping and everything.

Anyway, what I'm trying to get at is that I think you shot him first and are currently trying to avoid suspicion.

I know this makes me a very high value target to our enemies if you work for them, but by God Almighty I'm going to keep to what I said.

*Xotes lights up another cigar and tries to pull off his best bad-ass pose. It comes off as moderately bad-ass, but no more.*
74  Player / General / Re: TIGSTWG XI - Spaghetti Werewolves [Day 2] on: September 30, 2008, 01:42:46 PM
*Xotes moves on to another cigar, having used up the last one with surprising speed.*

Well, General, Garthy took me aside earlier and told me something about a sort of bounty hunter that was after him before his prompt death at your hands. He said that said hunter would be paid a handsome sum for shutting him, and possibly others, up, so to speak, and would try to pass himself off as a vigilante if he did so.

Now, what with this were-piggery that we found out about, I'm not so sure that he was telling me the truth. However, I still feel a mite suspicous about you anyway. I can accept your claims to humanity for now, but I'll be watching you in case Garthy wasn't lying. Highly doubtful, but still a chance.
75  Player / General / Re: TIGSTWG XI - Spaghetti Werewolves [Day 2] on: September 29, 2008, 06:59:22 PM
Bloody hell, this is awkward. I retract my vote for the General, mainly based on the overwhelming evidence that points to his humanity.

Still, this means that there must be a faction of werepigs among us, so as to equal the odds, so to speak. I had Garthy pegged for a right honorable fellow, but it appears I was mistaken.

*Xotes grabs another cigar from said bottomless cigar box and begins hastily puffing away at it.*

Ah, that's better.
76  Player / General / Re: TIGSTWG XI - Spaghetti Werewolves [Day 2] on: September 29, 2008, 02:33:53 PM
GeneralValter, you've worn out your welcome in this town already, and that was damn quick if I do say so myself. However, if you DO prove to be a human, Garthy might suffer a bullet to the brainpan. Of course it won't matter to you because you'll be dead, but it's the principle of the matter that counts.
77  Player / General / Re: TIGSTWG XI - Spaghetti Werewolves [Day 2] on: September 28, 2008, 12:47:15 PM
Son of a bitch! Damn lousy werewolves busting into town and wrecking up our shit!

*Xotes begins to furiously puff on another cigar that he pulled from his apparently bottomless cigar box.*

In all certainty I thought they would have gone after Garthy, but I guess I was wrong there. I'll just stand back and wait for you guys to come up with a suitable person for us to shoot.
78  Player / General / Re: THE BEST FREEBIE GAMING SITE OF OUR TIME!!!! on: September 27, 2008, 01:27:05 PM
All is fine.
79  Player / General / Re: TIGSTWG XI - Spaghetti Werewolves [Day 1] on: September 27, 2008, 12:39:16 PM
*Xotes in somehow smoking three different cigars at once, making him look like a veritable chain-smoker.*

Wehll, ah reckon thaht Dacke is high ohn me list as wehll. Gen'ralVahlter  is pe-retty high up thar too.

*Xotes spits out the two finished cigars, puffing away on his last one.*

Ah, much better. To reiterate, Dacke is goin' down. And Valter... I find myself agreeing with Garthy, for you DO appear to be mighty suspicious. And for some reason those two cigars I spit out just now didn't light up for me. Strange. They don't count for my smokey goodness... Anyway. I've gone on long enough and shall shut up now.
80  Player / General / Re: TIGSTWG XI - Spaghetti Werewolves [Day 1] on: September 25, 2008, 06:21:36 PM
*Before answering any questions, Xotes moves on to puffing at another cigar. He blows a few rings of smoke away and, after finishing it several minutes later, drops it down and crushes it underfoot.*

Considering that I was too busy making sure that Melly was turned from a wolf trying to kill me to a wolf trying to hamstring me slash hold his guts in, I wasn't able to get a good look at the others. It's a damn good thing I was quick on the draw, though, or I might not be here to speak right now.

Currently, I'll go along with Garthy's apparent expertise on the subject and abstain from voting, if only because he hasn't failed us yet.
