a surprisingly good thread by tigsource standards btw

i dont know if it was because i leveled a bit too much, but i could pretty much run circles around all the bosses in dark souls except maybe three (and really, like half of them are jokes nonetheless)

while i liked dark souls it isn't really hard if you're careful. most of the hardest games i like require good reflexes for extended periods of time and training some shit to at least vaguely second nature

sorry, i really like doing that when its being asked for (and not, sometimes)

if theres one thing i agree with its that the leetspeak quirk thing could go

so you're saying you're mad at him asking money for more of something he has given you for free

hitler!
8  Player / Games / Re: Homestuck Adventure Game on: September 06, 2012, 10:14:29 AM
but you need a 700,000 dollar homestuck video game to make people on the internet angry

nice job implying it wont actually have production values
9  Player / Games / Re: Homestuck Adventure Game on: September 06, 2012, 09:13:07 AM
no, what is it that makes him such a irredeemable Angry gigantic piece of shit Angry

like, do you think the fans aren't happily doing it?
do you think they were like "aw fuck bitchtits man, another homestuck product" when they saw this
do you think literally everyone putting money in this has something urgent they could put it in instead?

@Abraham (and everyone else): no! but hussie likely has a decent monelod
10  Player / Games / Re: Homestuck Adventure Game on: September 06, 2012, 08:47:48 AM

you two point-missing defence force chucklefucks

lol

You say you don't mind the comic? Then what is it that makes you so angry about Hussie making a game about it funded by his varyingly gullible fans, that you feel the need to emptyquote a post about killing yourself and call an obvious everyday exaggeration to make a point "defense force chucklefuckery?"

Your elitism is pretty ironic.

I can't guide you through coding or anything, but here's a tip (workanig not guaranteed) for those who have just these specific things I really wanna do but they require so much learning and it'll probably take way too long and I'll run out of motivation because I don't really get into producing content!

If you really think your big idea(s) is that good, you shouldn't have a problem coming up with more, smaller ideas that will be good enough that you'll be willing to do them as well and learn new stuff. I've gone from an insane beatemup/platformer shitfest to a megaman-like for my first good game. (even though the plans for even that are now bigger than they were supposed to be it's pretty close to the actual manageable first goodgame I've been looking for. then I can hopefully begin project shitfest, after which project balls-to-the-goddamn-walls shouldn't be too hard, after which I'll go 3D for my final (planned as of now. i mean ofc it likely won't be my first 3D outing but it'll more than likely be my last game) game and there'll be no metaphors zany enough for that)

it generates a new one

kornel is supposedly working on save anywhere though, which could be in the next version at earliest
19  Player / Games / Re: DoomRL 0.9.9.6 on: March 04, 2012, 12:18:25 PM
It really is. As you get better, you won't need to rely on it/shottyman as much, but I'd say that you should always get at least a single rank of it if you're planning on using shotguns anywhere towards the end. (two pretty much guarantees safe cornershooting most of the time, but one + rocket launcher/melee finish(with appropiate build) is what I do nowadays)

Also shell boxes.
