it looks kind of neat but i can't really imagine it in motion.
if it were a still enemy sprite in an rpg or something it'd work.

the colours are quite dark and blur together, except for the gold which is a nice contrast.
the black makes it hard to get a sense of the depth and what's going on in front of the chest. the shoulder things look like they could be the hands, etc.

the world ends with you fucking owns. so many neat ideas in it. why can't squeenix mak more gams like that instead of 20 lame final fantasy spinoffs? (rhetorical question)

Still one of my favourite games, fun, good style, ideas, writing and music. Also has that squeenix handheld tradition of an obscenely large endgame that they don't advertise at all.

Started playing The World Ends With You.  Enjoying the game so far.  The two-screen combat system is a bit hard to get the hang of, though.

If you can't wrap your head around the battle system, try only paying attention to the screen with the light puck on it (green circle). Or just glance to the top screen long enough to register which path to take and mash like mad.
Level up your partner's ATK/DEF though cause dodging with them is a massive pain til later.

OT - I just finished the Batman: Punching The Mentally Ill. Waiting for my new graphics card to arrive so I can play Batman: Strained Premise

make computer games, not forum games Panda

no, i have been told several times by different people that anor londo is a lock point - i.e. you can't go back to the rest of the game until you go on and get the warp item.

And i didn't see any immediate way back, so i figured it was true.

you can go back to Sen's Fortress

I guess I was lied to

Well, this changes things.

you invade lautrec using the black eye orb in the hall where o&s fog gate is located.

i made the queelag's furysword which should help me out taking out ornstein since he is weak to fire.

How was I supposed to know this
I'm very good at finding secrets while simultaneously missing incredibly obvious things, apparently

Checking the wiki made me realize I missed a few important and obvious things down in Blighttown/Chaos etc. But I'm trying to check it as little as possible because every time I do something is blatantly spoiled.

Also: I can't make anything because I'm stuck there and the giant blacksmith can't refine any of my weapons past 5.

I know I can beat O+S, it's just a matter of getting it right. Also, isn't he resistant to fire, being a Dragonslayer?
108  Player / Games / Re: Dark Souls and Dark Souls II on: October 15, 2013, 11:32:29 AM
lautrec is dead now directly on to ornstein and smough. Concerned

still trying to take down O+S, still getting stabbed the moment I walk through the light almost every time. But I'm getting there faster with efficient parries on the silver knights, and etc.

Apparently I've missed even more than I thought because I haven't seen Lautrec. Found a ton of secrets, though

Kinda getting and SCP + Routine feel.

I think it'd be neat to see them try to take on something that is still horror-y but is more open-ended, or less reliant on puzzles.

An open-ended horror game where you had to explore a big facility, searching for details about how to overcome/escape everpresent threats, would be a pretty cool conceit.

Heard somewhere the gameplay will be similar to the first. You play as Lemeza's daughter.

I'm wondering if they're going to make a tiny box just for streaming, or a big box that is a SteamOS console.

Or both.

Raise the average a few pennies, maybe.

Considering what you'd lose in fees, it ain't werf it

He should get to each princess at the end of every level, find out she's human, and get mad and storm off to the next level.

The last princess is another frog

I really wish someone would edit out all of the stupid chibi sequences in Full Metal Alchemist. It's probably the only thing holding me back from absolutely loving the series.

They drop off considerably (at least in Brotherhood) about halfway through as soon as the tone darkens enough and then never really return.

Perhaps a third opinion

As for me: Arkham Asylum. It's clunky, but fun.

I have major buyers remorse from dead island.

Always get a second opinion
119  Player / Games / Re: Hotline Miami Rape Scene The Dev Reconsidering on: September 07, 2013, 09:04:20 AM
Amazing how you have bought into the hardcore feminism sponsored rape-hysteria.
The garbled sentence structure and strange arrangement of concepts in what you wrote reminded me of 1984's newspeak in a way, for some reason (though it really has nothing to do with it formally speaking). Tell them to go easy with the brainwashing.

USER HAS BEEN PROBATED FOR THIS POST

Not sure if this is satire or not, at this point.

Also fun that you used hysteria, an archaic word used to habitually dismiss women's sexual agency. Freudian slip?
120  Player / Games / Re: Rape in Hotline Miami 2 on: September 05, 2013, 06:52:43 AM
You may want to lock it again

Well, Cactus did say that he was going to expand upon the rape scene far more in the actual game.

Yeah, but first impressions, demos. This was a thoughtless thing to put across without context. Better now that they're thinking about how to convey it, but the damage is done
