Congrats.  Though I think you might have meant "2nd" and not "2th"

Not so, as there is a view count on the topics themselves.  I won't reiterate myself a third time, however.  You are absolutely free to feel how you feel, and I am as well.

I seek not to judge, merely to make observations based on the proposed circumstance.  Ideas are a dime in a dozen; there is only merit and value to a product that finds itself towards some sort of completion.

I'm sure they do, as I do as well, but I will only say something if I have something to say.  If my singular comment is the difference between a project dying and it being continued, then it wasn't worth very much from the start.

I read a number of them regularly; I just don't always have anything to say or contribute to the topic, and posting "Wow, cool!" over and over seems rather meaningless.

I don't know why but I really love the leaves on the Butterwort.  It's so simple but very clear what it's trying to portray.
26  Developer / Business / Re: Price Suggestion help , F1 ! on: June 28, 2020, 06:06:47 AM
Don't do that.  You'll give people an expectation of its value and worth that contradicts the time and energy you put into it.  You want to set an actual price and stick with it.
Remember the price also sets up how people will perceive your product.  If you make it free (or even just make it $15 and 100% off the opening week or so), people will see it a certain way.  $10 could be fine.

On the hunt for new projects!
I also posted a new piece of music to my Clyp Profile, so check it out!

Hell yeah!  A double congratulations from me as well!
Are the sound effects permanent, if I might so inquire?  Or are they placeholder?

Really digging the visual aesthetic of this so far.

And you can't accomplish that while having the bar drain from top to bottom?

Oh it actually looks retro if I flip the HP bar. Maybe I'll go with that.

That works, though you didn't have to flip the whole thing.  I was just referring to changing the anchor point and having it drain from the other direction, whilst keeping the level indicator on top.

Keep up the good work regardless!

Aaand here's the corresponding video for that:

Notes to self:
  • Fix the bug that annoyingly causes the player to "land" on start/unpause
  • Fix the blood decal at the bottom of the mineshaft (increase projection angle)
  • Update the plank's discovery log image

Man I am really digging the sound design going on here!  Maybe a bit too much reverb but I love it.

I love the character art a lot!  The motion blur seems like it's set to be *way too strong* in your videos though.  It just smears everything and doesn't look very nice.

Any particular reason why you have the HP bars on the enemies going from top to bottom instead of bottom to top?  It seems a bit strange.
35  Community / DevLogs / Re: Templars Closed Alpha v1.1 Devlog on: June 06, 2020, 09:22:13 AM
There's not really any information that tells you what the game is about?  Just posting an update log and a screenshot doesn't say much of anything about the gameplay.
36  Community / DevLogs / Re: Shardpunk: Verminfall (xcom/darkest dungeon/steampunk) [tech demo available] on: June 06, 2020, 09:19:38 AM
It's got a lot of mechanical depth going on here and it has me fascinated thus far.  Looking forward to the final product!
37  Community / DevLogs / Re: Warsim: The Realm of Aslona (Procedurally generated kingdom game) on: June 06, 2020, 09:15:45 AM
This gives me some vibes of SanctuaryRPG, and I rather loved that game.  Completely different gameplay but similar levels of depth and the way it's presented.
38  Community / DevLogs / Re: Elementallis - A Zelda-like with use of the elements with GB inspired aesthetic on: June 06, 2020, 08:29:58 AM
Oh wow, this is looking extremely nice.  I love the aesthetic.  Super curious about the little orb buddy.
I do feel like the leaf effect when bushes are cut should be more of a particle effect, as it doesn't look very nice when a bunch activate in very close proximity.
39  Community / DevLogs / Re: Crate Before Attack - Grappling Hook Multiplayer on: June 01, 2020, 03:08:18 PM
Sounds kind of interesting so far, though the main gameplay conceit isn't quite clear.  Interested in seeing more videos as it progresses!
40  Community / DevLogs / Re: Wizardcraft and Witchery [Pre-alpha demo!] | ARPG + BLACK MARKETEERING on: May 30, 2020, 08:26:20 PM
I know it's still veeery wip, but I just wanted to let you know that the font there is really hard to read with how much text is there and how close it all is together. The black on white isn't doing it any favours either.
