The proportions are fine; your main problem is the pillow-shading. There isn't a clear directional light source, and the transitions between shades are all rather smooth, which suggests a matte surface like clay. Shiny metal has sharp jumps in value and hue with not much of a transition between shades at all.

what? am i missing something here?
in photoshop i have to hide every other frame in each frame, like, the layers that are not visible and save that as a frame... (because it handles frames as layers)
that and the fact that i can't seem to add shortcuts for going back and forth between frames/creating new frames/creating empty/etc
i would really appreciate some tips on that, cause i basically gave up on photoshop for that reason specifically
oh and sorry for the spam.

Nope, really not needed IMO - unless theres something I'm missing that'd help lower workload hah. Just pencil tool with pixel grid. When repeating things, small shrubs/bushes for example, I do make my own custom brushes but that's about it really!

I tried animating in photoshop, dealing with frames is a real headache compared to graphics gale. Any tips you can give?

There is so much negativity in the indys now. I can't believe it. All you new bees these days have no respect. Back in the days we all respected everyone, like when Dead Space 3 game out that was a giant piece of shit, but we all respected that game and all the effort that all the developers put in, because really it is a lot of effort to work years on a game that is probably going to disappoint every fan of the series and be shitty.

So word to your mother and preach respect.

I have the same exact question.
Though i haven't found a good substitute for starling, which is very good for mobile exporting.
But if we're talking "pure Flash", it might be worth it.
