hi guys. About a year ago i started a project with RSD , a really talented xna programmer. We got as close as releasing a demo, but unfortunately he recently became unavailable.

This is the devlog post we made if you want to check the basic concepts and graphics of the game (there's a lot of assets already done and some music and sound effects too)

he did an amazing job with the game but i need a fresh start with things,so i'm going to restart the project from scratch,programming-wise.

yes the interactons between characters needs some work , those are just placeholders to show off a bit, but our main focus in the earlier stages was on the level editor wich i must say is pretty much perfect by now.We're already tuning up the flow and the gameplay right now so don't worry about that X3

hey guys just wanted to tell you we're still alive and kickig and working hard on twelve  Durr...?.
wanted to show a couple of the non-tiled bgs we've come up for important locations





we're still deciding if implementing some little graphic advenure-y things in these locations but we'll most likely go full blown action platformer as we planned..

The TEAM
Graphics Designer & Creator:Ardentsideburn
Programmer:RSD
SFX & Music:Vidvi

We met eachother in the unpaid collab forum in august of 2010 , Ardentsideburn
needed someone to help him with the programming for the game he wanted to make
and was joined by RSD. A few months later we recruited Vidvi to help out with
the sound effects and the music.

The Story
The game is set in the prohibitionism era new orleans. A Secluded alchemist who
fled from europe because of her dangerous knowledge is working on the highest form
of alchemy process ,the philosopher stone.The first step to achieve this is creating
12 creatures from the supernal realms,each corresponding to a zodiacal sign.The
creatures are nurtured through their childhood with great care,as the alchemist
teaches them the beauty of the world,but nature takes its toll and the alchemist dies
of old age before the creatures are matured.without a mentor they scatter through new
orleans in search of a new life, all but one. Several years later Hamal,the aries
spirit, the only one who remained in the alchemist's house sees her spirit, who
promptly tells him to go and stop his brothers, because without a guide they became
tainted and they're now a danger to all the world. Desperate from loneliness and
consumed by the desire to see again her "mother" hamal goes off to fight those who
once he called brothers.

The Game
Twelve is basically a 2d action/platformer game: Your objective is to find and kill
your eleven brothers through a variety (6 for now) of highly explorable levels- all
while fending off their minions and avoiding the natural perils that awaits you. Being
the game focused on action,you'll be able to perform a wide array of moves, such as
double jumping and dashing : in addition the main character's innate ability to control
metal will allow you to attack in a wide variety of ways .Other than this you'll be able
to count on several alchemical items to make things easier in dire situations and you'll
eventually be able to steal your brothers specific abilities.-+\-  

Programming
All of the programming is done in XNA 4. We plan on first releasing it on windows and after
it's finished we hope to publish it to XBOX 360 to.

Status
Atm we're still working to release a working demo, we hope to include the better part of

well there's not really an option to play alone.considering the "versus" nature of the compo we thought we should've focused on letting two people play . So um grab a friend if you want to try it out XD Well, hello there!

well this is more of a side project, me rsd and vidvi thought it was fun and we thought to give it a shot(and hell we really all did our best in so little time!) for the "official" project we're working on there'll be a bit more to wait tho heh XD

our game will be a duel between two gunsmen in a western/fantasy setting.
That means the duelists are able not only to shoot at eachother in a first person view, but also to use magic to defend themselves.
We're going to enter with three playable characters, but hey, we could add more in the future X3

standoff-publish.rar includes a installer
standoff-release.rar is for the people who don't want to install it, for this to work you do need the XNA 4.0 framework redistributable installed, which can be found HERE

the game uses the port 1980 tcp for the server, so whoever is hosting the game should have that port open and forwarded in their firewall
an alternative would be using hamachi to create a virtual server(http://hamachi.en.softonic.com/ )  more on that tomorrow XD

hello everyone.
Me and a friend are looking for a programmer for our game,a classic platform/action game with some twists, we've done a lot of tileable backgrounds and some characters animation but due to our previous progammer falling ill we're out of means to make this work. what i had in mind initially.maybe too crowded (just a layout)




cabadath.ipotetically he would stay in front of chzo's eye(hence the animation below),and teleport randomly on the screen as if he was summoned by a tigbox.
