It's true. Sia fanboys will rip their own arms off just hoping to impress her with their dedication

I genuinely laughed. Good job, sir! Gentleman

I'm having unhealthy amounts of fun with this dumb game Big Laff
I kept remaking the initial quest giver concept for the last week or so and somehow it ended up looking like your regular SIA fanboy. I'm the worst Smiley)

Have you tried adding a targetting system separated from the ship's movement? So you won't have to move the hole body of the ship in order to shoot, let's say at a maximum limit of 60 degrees both sides.

So far it looks neat. I'm curious to see where this project is heading. Good luck man! Hand Thumbs Up Right

I really like the art. Looks cool!

Game update:
I'm still working on it.

Party is over so it's "back to work" time. If things goes well I might have some gameplay to show you all and also myself. The last time i used "things" and "goes well" in the same phrase my grandfather died, fingers crossed.

Been following for a while and this game looks great! Can I ask what engine you're using? I read through the devlog but couldn't find it anywhere.

Thanks! Bro Fist Left Of course you may, Unity is the winner.
I had the curiosity of experimenting with Unreal, that's until i discovered the 5% revenue share policy, which in my opinion is quite a lot.

*pls let me know if i'm too obnoxious with the frequency of this updates, and if I should tone it down a notch"

After the recent endeavours with the programmer, the day job and so on and so forth, I had to take a moment and recover, somewhat. It's a little demoralizing having to meet this sort of people over and over again.... eh, fuck it!  Since I don't want to screw the gameplay while in this mind state I've decided to focus on interiors, trying to create something a little more natural even if randomized. It looks good, to me! i'm not used to say that but it kind of feel right.

P.S.: It might sound cheesy and generic, take it how you want, but thank you guys for the feedback and involvement. It's empowering Bro Fist Left

I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope you are able to find a solution. I really want to see this game get finished!

The problem won't be if this game will get finished or not, but when it will be... well, if i die in the process, yeah, it won't get finished Concerned . But all jokes aside I will see it done one way or another. Thanks a lot for the support, man!

Experiencing with depth while listening to Sexual Healing.
Got royally fucked by the programmer so it will take a while until I can find another asshole to help me out. Worst case scenario I will code the game myself, so in few years from now you will definitely see some gameplay.

It looks better than yesterday, uglier than tomorrow.

I'm proud and terrified of how the game comes together. It's the best work i ever did (from a creative and artistic stand point)... yet, at the same time, the idea that my "best shape" might lead this project to a disaster is just... a chill runs down my spine. See you soon with more of this. Peace!

Wow, I adore art style! And it seems like you are striking a humorous...

Thanks, mrandyjoe! I'm glad that my humor isn't off-putting to those following the game. Hand Thumbs Up Left Hand Thumbs Up Right
That's also my problem with roguelikes, the repetition. I'm trying to figure out a way to make each instance look "natural" and not generated, this before adding other incentives like unlockables. Otherwise will be me covering my mistakes and I don't want that.
Never heard of Curious Expedition before, it has a DnD vibe which i really enjoy. I might give the game a try after I'm done with this one.

Here are my first impressions: ...

Wow! Seriously, thanks for taking the time to write this consistent feedback! It's heart-warming Hand Thumbs Up Left
I'm sketching a semi-randomization prototype similar to Derek's in Spelunky, but slowly changing it into something personal. Currently i'm stuck but eventually I'll come back to my senses.
Thanks again, io3. Much appreciated!

Wonderful beasts Panda, I need your help (some feedback) for the visuals!

     1. Does this scene gives you a certain feeling? (boredom included; "kill yourself" is not a feeling)

     2. Does it feel like a part of a larger picture or just a big mess?

     3. Would you move the character around or you would rather close the game and get on with your life?

     4. Does it feel generated by the computer or handcrafted?

Any other objections, ideas, so on, would help me a lot.
*tip my fedora* Gentleman
P.S.: There is still a lot to add to this current build, so consider it far from ready.

This is disgustingly beautiful.
  Kiss xoxo

I never know what to expect next, your work is beyond my comprehension!

Is he some kind of merchant?
Not a merchant, it's... a guardian, sort of Undecided. The current name for this thing is the Cropper and it's definitely not a hugger/lover. Bro Fist Left

I love james blunt.
 Cool
Trust me.... James Blunt loves you back!

Thanks for the love you beautiful, beautiful bastards!  Hand Metal LeftNo No NOHand Metal Right I'm going back to work (*whispers* no signs of having a gameplay vid this month................... i know, sorry. The programmer is MIA for a short period and i can't take his place, for my coding skills are not)

If you ware still looking for space game, here is another promising one (though I'm fed up with sim looking game)

Sadly it feels too beautiful to be true, might end up a flop like NMS did, although, compared to NMS this one actually looks like something made by a geek rather than a company, so it might have personality and be decent all the way till the end, maybe... fuck knows.
I'm so bummed out by what NMS ended up being, such a fucking shame. At the same time the industry was in need of something like this. There is far too much garbage out there and way too many companies milking players for money. Maybe we can slowly bring back the good ol' times SMB Mario, or at least pay more attention to what's actually good and what's funky.

i don't even know, my man. I would love to see the combat, but I would love to see the story without spoiling too much of the game. Put a planet or two, in... something crazy with a cliffhanger so we can go crazy about what's next.   Toast Left Cheesy
79  Community / DevLogs / Re: Foot on: November 16, 2016, 06:10:20 AM
Soon enough I will start posting some gameplay footage, for those of you interested.
There is a little more work to be covered for a video worth watching, so this is why I'm going with the static screenshots. Sorry for that! Giggle

Still a WIP. I would love to hear some opinions, if you guys and gals can share any.  Toast Left

I'm a fucking zombie after this last work days, can't put my finger on what i like, what i don't like, anymore. Pffffff
I know something is missing (lots are missing) but i just can't see it right now.
On the bright side, the story is all good to go, I have all planned out with some few, small, exceptions.
Next "to do" on the list are assets, fuck load of them, then characters, animations, then sound/music/text, then kill myself. I'm going to sleep now Gentleman
