How does a character, who is isolated, develop? A story I'm telling has a character who has absolutely no contact with other people. Flashbacks and sentimental items are useful for the exposition, but don't provide much of a catalyst for character growth.
This could relate to video games (as in my case) or just in general: How do you develop such a character?
Probably this character would be autistic (not asperger's tho), and I'm not even joking. An individual living in a world made only of self, with no social interaction, would have some symptoms of autism spectrum. It developed in a world without no "other". And never learned language, probably, even if it could.

the holy derek and I posted in the same topic Anyway Tap titans seems to be good, it's better than any Cookie Clicker android port. Also Cookie Clicker should count as pleb casual game? Because it is and I've spent months on it. I hope Ortail updates soon, the dragon clicker wasn't so good

I'm gonna skirt the violence issue. Anyway, something that I think helps is to imagine having a conversation with the character completely out of context from the game. Imagine talking to them about the stuff going on around you; if you're on a walk, imagine asking your character about that Dad who almost dropped his baby on its head in a public park. Doing stuff like that sort of lets you see the weird facets of your character that real and relatable. Do this enough and your imagination will automatically come up with their responses (and maybe even questions for you) so fast it's like you don't even have control of it.
In this context, take in account your character could be really insufferable and still be a good character (for example, Porky Minch, best - IMHO - character of Mother Saga)

According to FARTRON on IRC today: don't.
According to me: if you want a charismatic character don't make them kill a bunch of people or creatures as part of regular gameplay and have the game and character and NPC's act like it's normal and not a horrible thing.
I mean, you are free to don't like games with violence, but sometimes it could be perfectly in contest. If you are survivor in a post-apocalyptic world, after a nuclear holocaust, and the fauna and flora of that world heavily mutated so you have abominations looking for you as a prey, WHAT WOULD YOU DO? For example, Fallout gives a good example of it. If a fire cockroach is attacking you, I'll better fight it or fly away. And If I fight it I have something that can satisfy my hunger. If you'll kill people, that faction will hate you. Don't be too harsh with videogames violence :|

that's kinda sad tho
if youre a dickhead and look down on other people for that sorta thing then yeah sure I didn't say I don't enjoy it or that people shouldn't do it. But that statement was kinda sad to read. That's all, lol. Like, the distinction between "traditional" artists and whoever does that.

In some old topic I've discovered my country hasn't even concept of fair use :|...it has something, but it is very, very restrictive. This is what bothers me, actually, in the whole copyright concept. That copyrights are not equal among all countries. Seems they are not even equal in all the countries of EU!
