Yeah, well, those are the people who deserve to be joked about the most.

...So, like a forum for game developers?

Would you mind elaborating on what mastermind is exactly?

A properly rigged peter griffin model that's up to code with epic's standards for fortnite would cost a lot more than just 2k. Also, consider that this is an entire new body type and skeleton that epic now has to support for every emote, existing and upcoming, in the entire game, not to mention the base set of gameplay animations. It's also not the first time this has happened; the rick and morty crossover, for instance, has morty riding a miniature mech suit just so he fits the proportions of the male rig.

It's unfortunate, but yeah, I completely understand why they wouldn't want to create that much work for themselves just for one crossover character.

I'm partial to video james and video gams myself

I think even a halfway normal person can handle the half-joking accusation of being a bot, assuming they have a sense of humor and a not oversized ego. That being said, if this account is indeed a bot, they're a pretty good one because they learned to use tigsource emoticons somehow. I say we just let whoever/whatever Steve Matthew is post some more and we can do our job as mods if all his posts suddenly turn into korean flowershop spam or whatever.

My one wish wrt search engines is that they'd just let you block domains entirely from your results. Can't fathom why none of them have a feature like that yet, especially considering google accounts exist. Why the fuck would I want a google account other than for storing my search engine preferences, you know?

That being said, alphabet isn't dying, even if google the search engine eventually gets shut down or something. They're too big to fail.

Your gut feeling is correct, forum software is too old for us to find a plugin that can do that.

Are those modulos or divisions?

That's not what happened though. You proposed writing something that was too off-topic for the frontpage and we told you as much. We didn't just stop replying.

More importantly though, the main obstacle to getting more stuff on the frontpage is that if we're going to publish articles, we'd rather be compensating whoever writes those pieces, and we don't have a way to do that right now. TIGSource doesn't generate any revenue, so paying to produce this type of content is impractical, and we don't want to rely on free labour more than we already do with mods and such.

Same with social media. We'd need someone willing to manage that, and asking people to do it for free isn't great.

Also many of us are busy with life and don't have the time to manage TIGSource as well as we'd want, which is admittedly a personal failing. Heck, even the site founders aren't even really around anymore, which is a shame. We would like to bring TIGSource back up to speed, but that will require time and effort, and crucially, money.

Occasionally I still make art, figured I'd post a piece here again

13  Community / Forum Issues / Re: Embedding Tweets on: December 31, 2022, 05:09:32 PM
Considering how bad the embed cards twitter provides are and how twitter seems to be imploding on itself, I'm not sure researching how to do this is a worthy endeavour right now (the embed twitter provides does not embed multiple images and breaks when embedding a video)

If I may ask, why were you hoping to be able to embed a tweet into a forum post anyway? A screenshot and a link would be sufficient for most use cases, I think

When I'm done with this dang game I'm gonna have so many things to say about building games from nothing

Still hacking away at it btw!

The image link needs to start with http instead of https

For the highlights reading as pupils, I don't think that's something to avoid necessarily. I lean into it a bit for the SPSD aliens for instance and I think it looks good, so it's really more of a creative choice than anything imo:

In any case, I think Atwa looks great already! Looking forward to more designs ^^

Yeah ok, touché

Heck, I was a different gender when this project started

Since I'm making the engine for Space Punk Slam Dunk from scratch, I decided to add a hot reload feature to the game that can handle any asset type and allows for very fast iteration on a bunch of things!

As you can see, it's working very well  Wizard
