I’d be a contrarian about joy cons here, but the sticks feel awful, it’s uncomfortable to hold them for more than 30 minutes, and I had to replace the plastic bits that lock them in place because they broke on one of them. So yeah, fuck joy cons for anything other than on-the-go multiplayer.

Oh yeah, that would be super helpful, thanks! Nice sketch there too!
Also, I'd forgotten how much I used to like drawing, so it's nice to get back into it. I'll try doing it regularly from now on!

The obvious ones are zelda wild breath and mario odyssey. If you like competition there's also splatoon 2, smash bros, and mario kart. Other than that, I'm not really sure what would be a good fit for you.

Thanks! I've done a few more drawings in the past few days, but here's the most recent one: I've mostly done busts though, so I want to move on to trying posing and anatomy.

I took out my surface pro and drew something with SAI 2 today. I'm not totally satisfied with, it and there's some obvious issues (the face and left arm are the most noticeable) but I wanted to get back into the groove of digital art, so it's fine for now if it's not perfect imo.

"this is bullshit" is a personal fave of mine to put as placeholder, which I probably shouldn't do now that I think about it in case I end up leaving it in a release build by accident. >_<

I thought enum classes forbade you from using bitwise operators on its instances? Also, you can specify a type for old style enums, so I'm not sure what you mean about implementation specific issues for those.

I'm sure there's a library for that, but it would be nice if there was a built-in language construct for flags considering how widespread their use is. I'm kind of surprised there hasn't been a standardization for them yet.

To answer the OP's question, the notify button, if I recall correctly, sends you an email whenever someone posts in a thread where you clicked it. If you have email notifications disabled, then it would never send you those, hence the feature seemingly not working.
Tbh, even if we decided to update the forum's software somehow, we probably would opt out of any kind of notification system. I've actually been thinking about this recently, and for single topic forums like this one, an optional digest of stuff you missed distributed at regular intervals (daily or weekly) would probably be much better than being notified for every single interaction instantly. Plus, if people are invested in a particular discussion then it's probably healthier to let them check in on the thread where it's happening themselves.
I agree that it's inconvenient that the forum isn't proactive about informing you of new things, but I don't think it would be good to end up on the other end of the spectrum either.

The girl in a dress looks good to me, but her hair looked more lively before the hue shifting imho. Hair tends to let a lot of light pass through, so it might be a good idea to not shift too much towards cold colors for shadows in the case of hair. That jumpsuit girl is top notch though, good job!
