Aha, thank you! You are right - the music is somewhat too quiet. Probably we need to play with initial sounds and music volume a bit.

Fellows!

It's been awhile since we posted anything here.

Please check out our new game called Dubspace.
Dubspace is the game about abandoned space stations, zero-gravity shoot-out, aliens and some mighty dub/reggae music. We aimed at the skill-based but relaxing and fun experience. Ideally we wanted players to reach that state of 'flow' while playing the game.

Everything started with the concept of 'two thumbs' gameplay (our favourite input method), then some dub came into equation (Pupajim - Dubstep Save My Life, unfortunatelly we couldn't get his track Cry) and then we deconstructed some of the God of War enemies mechanics..
Ah, also we found some really MIGHTY DUB for the game and used our favorite Oryx style (really reworked by Antiblik) we loved since the Assemblee times.

And we also have our own recipe for in-game Ads!)

Please, take a look at the game and tell us what do you think!

Attribute Clash team.

P.S. How do we change the size of the image?Huh? ))

By the way, we will make a version of the game with the keyboard support (and not only XBox gamepads) and will try to add more polish to it!

I guess we'd better remove download link and screenshots from here. It seems that it would be better for everyone to see all games in a bunch once all the finalsts are known.

We finished the game in time (see the thread), but submission instructions are only on the KOKOROMI page and WE MISSED it!!!  Cry
We will submit it now! Hope that this is Ok, as we actually have finished the game before the deadline.

DME Race or Dark Matter Engine Race is 4players game about.. space race!

It is made under Game Maker, we hope that it will handle XBox controllers. We used 2 Saitek USB controllers, it was Ok.
Also, Game Maker allows only the use of 2 joysticks, so 4 players have to use one joystick per pair. Hope that is not a problem.

Yes, you understand everything right. Those damned balls are Rakshasas, which can't be killed. And "the man" is a simple thief who has find the rings!!

Doors can be opened with the button in the lower left (round thing just beneath the biotank).

Having different sprites for weak walls in easy mode is a good idea! We will try it out!

Originally the idea was to make the walls randomly breakable, so that the player will have to remember each wall every playing seesion and heavily rely on personal luck) But we underestimated the difficulty of the game with that feature.

Submission for that great compo is finished, but if anyone has any suggestions or ideas, concerning RAKSHASAS or SPACE SMUGGLER, we can spare some time and make games better.

We know that they both lack balance and we did not add all the features we wanted to, so, your ideas would be more than welcome!! Coffee

ZX Spectrum!!  Kiss That's just great game! I like what you've done up to the moment!

I guess the health bar is not needed at all. There were not many livebars in ZX games and that's very stylish! You can give a few damage points to each creature (like golem has 3, archer 1 and so on) and add some qualitative states (injured, KO etc.)

That's pity we all do not have another month to polish up games. However, that is neverending process Smiley
