Pushmo and especially Mutant Mudds are the best games on the eShop in my opinion.

I recently got Tetris Axis for real cheap. I love Tetris and it feels nice owning a physical copy of it, I've been playing it to no end even if it's an experience I can get for free in my browser. It has plenty of fun modes, though, Shadow Wide is awesome.

What do you guys think about the "Midnight Purple" 3DS being released soon?

Reminds me of GBA/GCN, looks nice.

There's always E3, I guess.

But yeah, it's a bit weird that PS3 is getting a new GoW, LittleBigPlanet Karting and PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, while Vita isn't getting anything.

Holy crap, what's wrong with Mortal Kombat on Vita?

I'm no graphic whore, but those are sub-PSP models. Street Fighter, DOA and Tekken on 3DS look better than this, not to mention UMvC3 which is a launch Vita game.

It'd be nice if this eventually makes it to the eShop instead, apparently VVVVVV did well there. And Sree Dee, of course.

As far as I know there are only Japanese WonderSwan systems and games. And yes, I'm considering Klonoa but it's somewhat expensive:

It's a 1999 handheld by Bandai, designed by Gunpei Yokoi AKA the designer of the original GameBoy. It's awesome because it can be played horizontally and vertically due to its button layout, and one single AA battery is enough for 40 hours of gameplay. The "awesome" factor is too high for me to not buy one along with Pocket Fighter Durr...?

Guys, I'm buying a WonderSwan but I can't decide between these 3 colors:

Which one do you like the best? First one is "Soda Blue" limited edition, second one is "Mint Green" and would look awesome beside my 3DS Durr...? And last one is original blue, looks cool and it's a bit cheaper.

Man, I love the Japanese cover for Cave Story 3D:

Folders will be added to the home screen in the next firmware update \o/

I was hoping we could change the color of the folders. But it's okay, I didn't like having the Ambassador games taking so much space. My Game Boy games will always be right in the first page, though Cool

The background clashing is probably going to be "fixed" by 3D, though.

The NSMB games aren't the prettiest, but if it's better than NSMBWii (which was better than the first one) then it's going to be a decent game.
111  Player / Games / Re: New, New Super Mario Bros. WiiU to be shown at E3. on: April 17, 2012, 01:22:03 PM
I don't like them, but tolerate them as extra characters in spin-offs like Mario Kart. But a main Mario game? Concerned

Now, if only people could get creative with them. I don't like when I'm playing Mario Kart against:

- Toad
- Mario
- Luigi
- Bowser
- KEVIN
- Daisy
- Wiggler

I have encountered Bayonetta, Reggie, an Angry Bird, Michelle Obama. That's a bit better.

Now, in their defense, their role in the upcoming Mario Tennis Open is a bit better, since you get to customize their gear and clothes, which actually affects their stats. I like that there's a bit of character building there.

They could make online competitive only? Now that I think about it, the competitive VS mode in the DS game was quite fun.

"In a recent interview, Mr. Miyamoto confirmed that a new Super Mario Bros. game for the Wii U system will be shown at this year's E3 Expo. This is based on the Mario experience that was demonstrated at last year's E3 Expo. We'll have more to announce about our plans for the E3 Expo at a later date."

Uh, well. I enjoyed NSMBWii, but it's not really one of my favorite Mario games. Not only that, but the demo shown last year had Miis as playable characters Angry

I guess it makes sense, it'd be a good launch title for WiiU since 2D Mario sells like crazy, and we just had a 3D Mario (which is the best since Sunshine, in my opinion). Anyway, I want this to be more than an expansion pack for NSMBWii. A new art style would be awesome, online play, level editor... anything that would make me feel less guilty of buying this day one.

Also, a week ago Nintendo registered "Super Mario Bros. 4". Could this game have that title?

I hate Miis.
114  Player / Games / Re: Why Are Gamers So Nostalgic? on: April 13, 2012, 09:50:10 AM
Which "gamers" are we talking about here? Because the smart ones play whatever interests them from any time period regardless of whether they played it as a kid, just like the smart movie, novel, or painting fans. (They also realize that some of the best games ever made are still coming out despite what nostalgia-wankers might tell you, and that something has to necessarily be lost in any artistic evolution whether anyone likes it or not.)

You know, since I enjoy classic gaming a lot (but including games I didn't play back in the day, even games older than me) I tend to believe there's some nostalgia involved. But then, I also play newer games and I find them just as "favorite game ever" candidate worthy as old games.

And favorite genres play a big role. I'm just not into shooters and most WRPGs, so I feel somewhat left out by not being able to enjoy a lot of "must play masterpieces" of this generation. Man, why did Western games take over? Concerned Can't complain, though, we still get plenty of fighters, platformers, JRPGs, etc.

Oh, and as someone who enjoys Pokémon games for what they are, modern Pokémon = old Pokémon. Soul? Charm? Gen 1 had some really basic or downright bad designs.

But fighters are more likely to get localized. And I'm biased for fighters Durr...?

Uh, the Capcom x Sega x Namco project for 3DS was revealed to be titled "Project X Zone", and it's a SRPG.

Characters:

Capcom
Ryu & Ken (Street Fighter 0), X and Zero (Mega Man), Demitri and Dante (Darkstalkers and Devil May Cry), Chris and Jill (Resident Evil)

Sega
Shinguji Sakura and Ogami Ichiro (Sakura Wars), Pai and Akira (Virtua Fighter), Kurt and Riela (Valkyria Chronicles), Ulala and Touma (Space Channel 5 and Shining Force EXA)

Namco Bandai
Sanger Somvold (Super Robot Wars), Jin and Ling Xiaoyu (Tekken), Kos-Mos and T-elos (Xenosaga), Yurie and Estel (Tales of Vesperia), Kaito and Black Rose (.hack)

Looks nice, but I was hoping it'd be a fighter, now I doubt it'll get localized  Concerned

It's looking fun, I may buy it.

I love when handhelds get the better multiplatform version of a game. Because it's usually a good 2D platformer version of an otherwise boring, generic action game Durr...?
