Sorry for not replying for so long, had a ton of updates since.
V4 is now here!
It has taken longer to bring this out than I wanted but unfortunately I am just recovering from a mouth infection because of one of my Wisdom Teeth. Last night I finally got to a point where I was happy to release the newest version and with this comes its premium price of £4.99.
Made a ton of new improvements including:
Full controller support (using Vaccine) tested PS4 and Xbox 360 controllers 5th area complete Character cards which offer different perks and change how you look improvements to enemies both in behaviours and gfx Lots more audio SFX added Weapon upgrades Random events added to each level to make playing it feel fresh lots of bug fixing Loads more voice over work improved menu's and UI New enemies
This started out as an entry to the Fusion Wars game jam but since then me and my mate Stu have built on it to add more levels and features, hoping to release on Steam soon.
The game is a survival horror game that doesn't take itself too seriously, like Aliens mixes with Duke Nukem would be a good comparison.
Currently we have made 4 levels Shotgun and Pistol Different hazard and enemy types and instead of a bar to show health we have given the character visual damage
Below is a video of some of the features coming soon
I hope everyone is having a good day, I wanted to share a project I have been working on for a few months now. The game is inspired heavily by my love of arcade shooters including 1945 and it's sequels.
The game is a cross between 1945 and a bullet hell game with a bit of anime fan service thrown in for good measure
Below is a list of the main features in the game at the moment along with pics and the download link for it on Gamejolt.
3 levels
11 upgrades
1 music track
1 boss
In the next update coming soon I have made a ton of changes which I have also list below
Removed Sky Dive as couldn’t get it to the same quality as the rest of the game
More work on Menu’s
3 difficulty levels added to ease players into the game
Manual fire added if difficulty is normal or above
More variety added in levels due to changing how the enemies are added
Just wanted to let you know that we have released on schedule our latest games Dash Tank Fever. It's 100% free and has no forced advertising. It would mean a lot if you downloaded it and left a rating.
Wanted to share our game and hopefully get some feedback on here prior to the mobile release at the start of April.
The idea with Dash Tank Fever was to do a mash up of both Atari Combat and Bomberman, its had a lot of tweaks and additions since than but I think It has stayed pretty true to the original idea.
Here is one of the early shots from when it was started
Since I have tried to make it feel more like you are holding a retro handheld, our Sound guy has also done several music tracks and its had a full upgrades and perk system added. It now looks like this.
You can unlock various consoles to change the look of the game, you start with the NES but the game also has unlockables consoles including Spectrum, Atari 2600, Game and Watch and Mega Drive.
Please feel free to ask anything, any feedback would be great too.
More work done on the snow level last night, adding a lot of inertia, but now you slide across ice when you stop holding down a button which I am very happy with. Added some more motion effects too for the snowball throwing robots.
So the game has gone through a lot of testing and several things have changed including controls, some level design, lately we adding running, with that we gave a nice motion effect too.
I personally found a great video which shows every Mario Maker enemy and how they work which has been great for thinking up new enemies.
Below are some of the latest images and some Youtube videos.
Overview - Mario inspired 2D platform game about butler robots set in a London Steam Punk setting
We started Mr Monocle a few months ago now and we have a version released, however we are going to go on Green Light with it when we have some more content so in essence it is still in development.
This is our first try at a platform game and we have done lots of research on "Game Feel" and general level designing, including how Mario levels are designed based on old 4 panel comics.
Mr Monocle has a free Gamejolt version out at the moment which has 8 levels, however the Ouya version which is a paid title has 10 levels so far and is still under development.
