I think all three designs are great, but if I had to pick only one, I'd go for C I think. The hat and socks give her a sporty look and I really like the hair color. That's just, like, my opinion man.

Any opinion is welcome! C's orange color and mid length hair is pretty cool! I agree!!

Adding a Troubleshooter's new features is never stop! Let's check hot & new features!

( * Text in video is translated into English. But in demo release, English will be fully supported. )

1. Alert system

Almost every enemies have a range of sight. If troubleshooter get in that range, enemies realize troubleshooter's existence and ready for battle. You can start battle by attacking them out of their range. If you think you have enough power and strategy, you can start a total war of course.

2. Call reinforcements

Although you have overwhelming power, enemies also have alternatives. One of alternatives is call their members. No one can assure battle's victory.

Hello everybody. DandyLion's weekly development logs is here!

We've mainly shown some big changes or events so far. But there are also minor but detailed changes for game looks more dynamic.

What kind of changes have been added? Let's check it!

1. Balloon chat.
Main character and their colleagues express their emotion and thought by voice. But It's nearly impossible to record characters's voice for every language. So we have decided to put together balloon chat. Balloon chat will help user to understand current game's state more clearly.

2. Ability effect

Troubleshooter's battle system is closed to XCOM series. But each character's ability and its additional effects are closed to traditional JRPG style. Each character has unique battle style and that battle style makes various effects in battle field.

3. Icons
At last, Ability icons came to us!
( There are icons which belong to unknown troubleshooer! )

That's all for today. Thank you for reading this article! See you next update news!!

Hello everybody, DandyLion again!

We've shown some abilities through last articles. But they were still developing so some abilities omitted effects or sounds. And yes, there's also no trace of camera work at all. Abilities direction was so simple and boring.

We had to do something but there's not enough time to make new ability animation of all characters. There's no other way than to do something using already exists resources which were effects(visual fx) and sound effects. At that time, we received unexpected good news. That was completion of in-game directing camera.

So we decided to do apply it immediately. Below are the outcome of that process.

Albus abilities - Gale slash, no camera version

Albus abilities - Gale slash, with camera version

Heixing abilities - Sweeping fire, no camera version

Heixing abilities - Sweeping fire, camera version

Kylie abilities - Emp explosion, no camera version

Kylie abilities - Emp explosion, camera version

This camera work will be randomly invoked by system in particular condition. So in normal game play, players will be able to enjoy speedy game play.

Another news
Last week, we've announced that we submit our project to Square Enix Collective and waiting for its approval. Unfortunately our project was not picked by them. This makes our team little depressed but we don't give up.

We'll do our best and will be back with good news. (Oh, this is not mean that weekly update is over!)

Hello everybody!, DandyLion development news has arrived.

Five months has passed since Troubleshooter received Steam Greenlight.

To receive more feedback, suggestions and criticism(to improve the game), we've decided to submit out project 'Troubleshooter' to Square Enix Collective(SEC).

So we have made a video that filled with full of in-game play. We are waiting for SEC's approval. But before that, we want to share our new video at here.

There are still lots things to do. But we are small indie studio and there is a limit to what we can do. TIG has many users with diverse gaming experiences and those experiences can be of great help to us. Please, don't be hesitate to write down your suggestion, feedback or criticism.

Thank you for watching our video.

( * We recommend full screen with 1080p )

This is Marco. Users can meet him at lobby(=same as town in normal RPG) and can get a quest or information from him.

I really like your 2D illustrations and designs, the 3D character models are also beautiful, but I personally think that the environments are a bit too simple and lack details such as ambient occlusion. Or I might have this impression due to the lack of lightmaps, image effects, or interesting shaders? Then again, all of this depend on the game engine you're using and target hardware specs.

By the way, I have a quick question: Do you accept 2D design / 3D model paid commissions from externals?

Anyway, good luck with your project!

First of all, I appreciate your valuable advice.

'2D design / 3D model paid commissions from externals' thing. As you know, we are small indie studio and have to prepare many things. So it'll be very hard to take extra work. I'm sorry.

You said "environments looks bit too simple and lack of detail...", you're right. We are lack of experience in environments so our team always think, "what makes world more looks alive?" And this question is still ongoing subject. Do you have any other idea about our environment? It's great pleasure to hear other developer's voice.

Thank you again for your opinion.

20  Community / DevLogs / Re: [PC] - Troubleshooter, Glimpse of character voice recording and updated UI! on: September 17, 2016, 07:18:14 PM

Hello future troubleshooter! DandyLion's latest news is here!

Various character is a core feature of Troubleshooter. We always think what makes character looks more alive.

Each character has its own appearance, animation and abilities, unique character voice is significant factor that can makes character more realistic. So we have recorded character's voice.

( Sound engineer's control desk )

( Voice actor's booth )

This is recording studio. We recorded 10 character's voice that day. There are 25 situations that need voice. And each situation has minimum one or maximum 6 types of speaking.

Character voices had been recorded in Korean. We really hope to record the voice in other language. But we are small indie studio and the budget is extremely limited. So we will focus on translate game text in other language first.

We've shown concept UI in this article. It was not real thing but just a kind of dummy. Through many times of discussion and modification, Part of UI has its final shape.
( * Text in game is Korean. But our first release will support English too. )

Team formation UI

( * before )

( * after )

Battle UI

( * before )

( * after )

That's all for today. Thank you for reading this article.  Smiley
