Lots of good points in this thread. I think you should take some time to play what's doing well, take a look at what is being Greenlit on Steam, read comments, get an understanding of what players want and figure out how you can make those things happen with a game. It's not easy, ideas are tough for this industry, but one good one is really worth a lot.

I'm part of several game promotion groups on Facebook. They really are a great way to share your work, however, if you're trying to reach a more public audience you might have a better chance posting to Facebook groups that are genre or console specific. I did join your group though!

This is a very solid looking project! I'm a big fan of your art style, and the progression mechanics sound like they'll give the game depth and variety as the player navigates the story.

The minimalist HUD is awesome, too, and when coupled with the great artwork, it makes for very, very attractive screenshots.

I think that you should change your greenlight game icon, gameplay screenshots are much much better (in my opinion).

I remember seeing this game and it unrelooked and played so awesome but the name was so bland, I believe it was called Space Wars. Cool, I get it, wars in space but for what it was as a game the name was a complete miss.
