I wonder if this whole thread is just there to build awareness of TrapThem.

Wow, I love the current demo. So atmospheric!

Only one thing bothers me: Having to redo the words of people who got out and enter again. The mankind-thing made no sense to me, so I at station 3 had to listen to the same 5 people about 4 to 5 times...

Oh, and the sound effect for "appearing word" kinda breaks the atmosphere.

edit:
It just crashed for me, second time it happened. I answered a question right, and it's just frozen like this: http://puu.sh/152qr
(I enabled your debug output, because I thought it might help you.)

Last time it happened after I answered a question wrong and everybody left.

If it is a) formed in a regular way (like a rectangle), b) doesn't change too often and c) you don't have more than a few different health meters, I don't see any reason why it shouldn't be manually entered in a constant together with other asset-specific constants.

Beautiful color schemes are for me Cellusious' trademark. Check out his gallery, everything in there is so lovely Smiley

I don't mind the comic, I've read up until some point after act 6 intermission 1 and I'll probably finish it off after it finally concludes. But you know what's terrible? The fans, ie you two point-missing defence force chucklefucks.
Same, actually. Not that big of a fan, I'm stuck at some update last year. Your comments were just rather pointless.
186  Player / Games / Re: Homestuck Adventure Game on: September 05, 2012, 07:05:49 AM
fuckin shit man, i dont like this comic IM SO ANGRY RRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Ye seriously. How could other people like and pay for stuff I'm totally not into! Jeez.
Threatening suicide is the only reasonable course of action left for me.

So. Are you excited to see a Homestuck adventure game? Wink
Yup. Pretty cool, thanks for the link! Although I don't feel too hyped about "June 2014" as delivery date.

yeah the average lifespan of a router is like

a year

my family's has lasted for about 3 years, but that's a crazy outlier

Wow, really? I never replaced a router unless I switched providers. With one of our routers, that took 5+ years.

How does a router even break? I mean there's nothing that could wear down.

I don't say Nasa is bug-free. But it doesn't imply complex software has to be buggy. May be I have a special relationship to my code, cannot speak for others.
Maybe your code lacks a certain complexity, which is present in the AAA titles whose buggyness you have so much scorn for?

After reading your posts, I can't help to think that you're either a genius or a bit inexperienced regarding bigger projects and releases that are widely used/played. I consider myself a pretty good programmer, but I would never dare to say that I can guarantee bugfreeness...
189  Developer / Technical / Re: Why has unity3d become so popular? on: September 01, 2012, 04:54:09 AM
I think enthrallstudios' point was rather that Unity3D is quite big on component-based objects.

A Ragnarok Online fan? (Now I miss it again.)

Yeah I wrote my own framework which was basically to address issues I have with Flixel and other state based libraries.

Which issues do you have with it? I quite like state-based stuff, so I'm quite interested in any improvements Smiley

What was the bug? :D

I wonder why they didn't just buy the inofficial client?

Collaborate with Smithy
It will be GLORIOUS

Has Smithy made any games or other interesting works? I only know him from some of his finer posts, and I'd love to play/read anything he made :D

You dont want to make gaem with loli
^What he said.

What the hell is wrong with you guys? The mockup was perfectly fine.

edit: Ok, Cobralad seems to be mostly telling everybody that they, their mothers and their games suck, so no surprise here.

It looks really cool, vmenezio! The already mentioned grave stone looks a bit strange, and the clouds are a bit bland - otherwise I really like it!
197  Developer / Playtesting / Guardian of the Void Children: A small Tower Defense/Topdown Shooter crossover on: August 03, 2012, 08:55:02 PM
Hello fellow Tiger ers!

At one of our local 8h game jams, Michael Kessler and I did a small prototype for the themes "Guardian" and "Void". We decided to polish it some more, and out came this minigame:

Guardian of the Void Children

The Void is a harsh place to bring up children.
Our particular mother here is just about to find out how harsh exactly,
now that her nest was located by a swarm of drones…

How long can you survive their relentless assault?
Defend your nest, your children and your life in this Tower Defense/Top-down Shooter crossover!

Play in your browser on Kongregate

I'd love to hear some feedback from you guys! Which controls did you prefer? What is unclear, what took a few tries to understand? What did you like, and what was awful and needs to be changed?

Thanks for reading and/or playing, much appreciated! Gentleman

Maybe he's just not as cynical as you guys and/or hanging out in better subforums/threads? I'm not sure why you would hang out here at all if you don't like the place.

Erm, uh, so bronys are, like, really awful. Worst scum and all that, yadda yadda.

I'm waiting for my Sunny comic.
Also I'm totally not listening to an english cover of a russian gypsy jazz pony song right now, no sir.

Why do people have to delete their accounts if they want to leave for a while? It seems to be a little overly dramatic :|

edit: Forget it, I guess I just answered my own question.
