I played a lot of PC RPGs back in the 90s, some of which had multiplple endings (Elder Scrolls Daggerfall), and I kind of miss that. It was nice being able to play through something and have your choices matter in the outcome. I do have a first person RPG game idea which will have three alternate endings based on character choices and battle outcomes, but I'm a few years away from developing it. I just wanted to chime in with the fact that I personally love multiple endings. Don't get me wrong, I like linear stories too, but multiple endings with multiple choices feels more like an RPG and less like a theme park ride.

I play a lot of browser pet games, though few have combat features. Most of them feature breeding (I love complex breeding systems). I admit I never heard of Fairyland, and I might give it a try. I never was into the others you mentioned. I think my first pet game was Happy Pets on Facebook, and from there I found others that I currently have been playing for years.

Hello, Kesstryl here!
I was directed here from the Indie-Resource.com forums which is also an independent game dev forum. I currently work as an online tutor, am in school to get my teacher's certification, work as a freelance artist, and ... the reason I'm here ... am developing my first PBBG. I also play a lot of independent browser games, probably more than I play MMOs.
Not much else to know about me. I have a dog and a tree frog. Married. No kids. I'm also a member of TheGamingList.com which is a forum for virtual pet game developers and players. I think I'll have fun here. I love learning about new independent games, and I look forward to getting to know some of you and your games.
