Fifth's Birdy World

Starting with a blank void world, players can collaboratively create something from nothing.

Oh wow. I wish you love and happiness... and a PC release.

+1

PC release will definitely happen. We are close to finishing it actually. But I don't have a publisher for it yet outside of Playism - who is doing the japanese version.

I just walked by an ad for the grammy's with Skrillex on it. If you still needed proof that the Grammy are a sham you now have it.

And the other Flim is by DJ Zinc. There are also Calibre and Skream versions of it.

Dear CEDE: Please have my babies. <3 Can you send it to me if I PM a snail-mail address? P- please?

I can't help with the babies thing. I am a man not a seahorse.

As for the snail mail sure thing. PM me with an address, and maybe an idea of the postage (how many stamps I should use) if you are not in the US.

Ashkin's Mining Game

Arcade feeling game with a fast pace where you collect ore and minerals for points but have to keep an eye on your energy.

I couldn't find motivation to make a game for the past year, but this thread makes me want to start a game.

Thank you.

edit: To clarify, it's not just the existence of this thread that makes me want to make a game, but the hope that you would draw one of my future game.

This is also motivating me to revive my project, in the tiny hope that it could be drawn.

Im not planning to stop any time soon and you two just shot to the top of my list. If my drawing a simple post-it can help motivate you guys then its the least I can do.

I know I'm going to regret saying this but... Gomez

Was thinking about that today actually. And I might. But first I will post this one:

Adventure Cat

A top down game with some major SNES vibes and cool looking bosses.

But this seems like a side view / angle. So TDS certainly means something else!  Big Laff

laxwolf's Terratroid

A new neon glow in the dark entry in the TDS genre (??) featuring glowing alien sheep monsters!

As you can see, we have background and foreground images for the sky levels. Today I will be playing with parallax and making it even more awesome!

Plus, I replicated the controls of this game in flashpunk  Grin Grin Grin

does that mean I will be able to try it on a Mac?

I like the top-right stuff.
Make him shift shades constantly. Everyone wins!

Maybe the different shades could represent stages of health - that is if health is a factor.
Neon = full health, grey = dead?

Yeah something like that, though I would say not grey. It should still stay in the spectrum of green. Maybe a muddier somber green for the low point.

Update: Fixed the gradient banding in the sky. Started experimenting some more with wood textures ...

I like these new textures and patterning. I know the initial feeling may be that its getting away from how simple the aesthetic was starting off, but this seems like a good departure.

You could do a lot with these types of patterns and even make them seem like they are a 'language' of the environments you explore.

Another thing I would suggest is maybe changing the color of your character's outfit. In many of these screens he seems to match too closely to the ground he is walking on.

Changing his coloring will help him 'pop' more and aid in visibility.

It's about time someone returned the favor. CEDE, you're awesome.

Thanks! This really makes me wish there were some mini game that looked like this. Its so cool.

That's awesome! I noticed your game on playism.jp. What was your experience like dealing with them?

Edit: This thread should also be stickied.

Working with the Playism guys has been great. They are a very motivated, helpful and genuinely nice group of people. They are working with us on a full translation in Japanese for release on their platform. We are hoping to see it released by March at the latest.

But if you are thinking of working with them, then I would say go for it. And they really do care a lot about the indie scene and are doing their part to grow it and also expose people in Japan to more of these kinds of games.

Also how do I go about making this a sticky? I have seen completed projects stickied at the top but don't know how to go about it.

This looks like a lot of fun, it reminds me of The Neverhood a little bit, from the way the puzzles and story seem to interact.

Thanks! Also the iPhone / Touch version should be releasing this week and the desktop (PC / Mac) version is wrapping up too.
