I thought I liked this game, until guesst told me my reasons for liking it were wrong. Apparently, I'm a slave to internet memes, and if I weren't I'd see this game for the hollow corpse of a sham it is. Odd, I hadn't even realized that unicorns were a meme. Anyway, I must thank you deeply guesst; I almost made the grave mistake of enjoying something that wasn't good enough. Thank god that's over, now I can rest easily in my soulless and empty depression, satisfied that nothing will ever be worthy enough of my attention to rouse me. It will be most relaxing.

One Piece is the shit. It is the best thing to come out of Japan in years. I'm not even slightly joking.

That and a very different art style and different ethnic background.
Anyway, I think it's kind of funny that apparently tomboyish equals non-sexualized. I also think it's funny they listed Samus when it seems like Nintendo has been kind of pushing Zero Suit as a babe for a little while now.

That would be admirable. But I don't think that it is, conversely, contemptible to make fun of them. I do think it's assigning yourself a little bit too much significance to believe that being a dick or not is going to make any difference at all in terms of whether he'll achieve his goals if he really takes it seriously. Personally, I think that if he did he'd probably have done a little research.

I guess that gives us all the right to be dicks to anyone and everyone making a game, because, well, it's not going to be as bad as what they're going to have to face. Everyone has the right to be a dick. I certainly hope you wouldn't suggest otherwise. As to whether it's okay: Of course not. It's being a dick. You shouldn't even have to ask. However, in the greater realm of dickishness, I would consider what just transpired a pretty minor transgression. On the other hand, from my personal standpoint I got a lot more enjoyment from the dickishness than I believe I ever would have from Operation Fallin Angle, so I think it's an overall net gain for the world of entertainment. Personally I tend to just leave people like that alone. The harsh world will teach them her lessons soon enough. I can wait until then for the lulz.

Any dream that can be crushed so easily is pretty worthless anyway. To elaborate a little, anyone who isn't prepared to face a hundred times this much discouragement probably isn't going to be making any games anyway.

The bitch of it is that WoW actually has elements of really good gameplay sprinkled throughout the grind, and really cool worlds to explore as well. It's just... fighting through the grind to get to that stuff is kind of a chore.

Musics I like: Well known: Tom Waits Modest Mouse They Might Be Giants Less well known: Man Man: Vocals vaguely reminiscent of Tom Waits as well, but with a more rag-timey sound and with percussion that's wild where his is meditative and methodical. It's a little hard to describe. Mostly songs about love, lust, and loss. One thing I like about Man Man is they're simultaneously very strange and very genuine. Recommended myspace listen: Top Drawer Menomena: Even more difficult to describe. Percussive horns, ghostly lyrics, custom made synthesizers. Organs and banjos, together. Recommended listen: Mm. Maybe more later if I think of anything.
