21  Community / VGNG / Obsessive Compulsive Penguin Simulator - COMPLETE on: March 21, 2008, 10:37:12 PM
A penguin with a nervous twitch and the uncontrollable urge to flatten snow drifts -- because they make the ground... uneven.

Update: It's done!
Obsessive Compulsive Penguin Simulator
It's playable in-browser in OS X and Windows.
Note that it will probably play like ass (if at all) on integrated video hardware like the Intel GMA 950 or X3100, as the scene is triangle-heavy.

My brother (and fellow Flashbang cabalist) Adam and I spent a total of about 5 days each on it. He did all the art and some GUI/camera programming, I did the rest of the programming, and the marketing:

This game is dedicated to all those who suffer from this tragic, debilitating disorder -- perhaps even some members of our community. =(

Definitely high. There's only one person I know who can have eyes that bloodshot without being high, and his name is Matthew Wegner.

If that is exciting, you will be amazed by this amazing new* technology... of amazement:

*I think I played one of these about 15 years ago. Dactyl Nightmare!

It was on the outside wall of the expo floor, just south of the IGF - it's called the Z-Dome. Not really sure on details other than that, though I did find

  • Baltimore is number 1 in the US for various venereal diseases, but competes yearly with Detroit for murder rate
  • If the bar has a line, either get two drinks each time, or just get shots from the roaming midgets
  • Simply being Phil Fish can get you out of all manner of sticky situations
  • <3 Petri Purho

Ok that is just damned freaky Alec, your head is seeping through some sort of space-time rift into the other picture

So indie I only make games for Mac... that require custom hardware peripherals.
No I'm serious.

Contrary to rumor, those first two pictures are not in fact a drug deal going down between Data and me.

hahahaha yes, random 80's toys! I remember having the moose at the least. I'd totally forgotten about these

My pics from GDC are available in this Flickr set.

This photo of Matthew Wegner is clearly the best, highlighting what I like to call the b-more massage. What happens next is what makes Baltimore number 1.

I had an excellent time, too! It was awesome to meet all you folks! I've even made a forum account against my better judgment, which I'm sure will be to the detriment of my productivity. ;)

I'll definitely never forget the birth of the Brass Monkey as the indie drink of choice! My face in profile here pretty much sums it up:
