Sweet, Dailyman, keep it coming! I just took a longer look and I'm a bit puzzled about the fourth character. I see Iji, the Golden Knight, the blue Knight from Castlecrashers, but who's the other girl? She looks a bit like Chun-Li from Streetfighters. Also I wonder what made you pick those specific characters? Are they of your favorite games, or was it more of a random selection? Hopefully the blue Knight will actually get in the game eventually. Oh, and don't forget to be consistent with the thicker outlines (see the inner parts of the legs from the two girls and GKs right arm)! On another note: I had a weird error when I started IB today: ERROR in action number 4 of Create Event for object Control: Error defining an external function. I unplugged my gamepad, started the game again and it worked fine. Maybe this was because last time I played I set the controls of player 1 to gamepad. I have a Logitech precision which is known to make troubles with GM (can't configure the buttons for Spelunky other than in the config.ini for example). No idea if this can be fixed, just thought I'd let you know.

I've run into that error very rarely. It's some problem with the audio dll. Just running the executable again seems to fix it.

Finished. I'm thinking if you scaled it down you could use it as the preloader image. Are they of your favorite games, or was it more of a random selection? Just chose whoever seemed the most popular.

I was wondering, how about putting the Captain from VVVVVV in Indie Brawl? That game seems to have reached enough notability to be included in this game.

It's certainly possible. I'd wait at least until we get permission for Blue Knight and Reimu before including it, though.

I sent Fulp an email a while ago, but since that was right after the release of Castle Crashers it probably got lost. I don't know what the status is on the Japanese developers. Check out the permissions thread for more info.

Ah, I see. We should send those again, considering how far we've gotten into the project it'd be good to get looming permissions.

Hmm, I'd imagine a more low-res pixel art suiting better, actually. I know it could be scaled down, but you'd get ugly anti-aliasing and scaling to nearest neighbour wouldn't be much prettier.. But it could work as fan-art in the museum or the credits?

Hm, random thought: It might be cool to have the credits being a little shooting game, like it was in mele ( video:
)
It obviously could be just some simple 2d thing, but I think it'd be a nice little extra.

I didn't really like the shooting game in SSB. It seems like a bit of a waste of effort, especially since nobody is going to be looking at the credits at least until we make a singleplayer mode.
EDIT: Also it would seem kind of like we're imitating Brawl a little too closely.

I don't think it should be a shooting game, but some sort of mini game. Just something small and easy to make to keep people entertained while they read the credits. It also makes them more likely to actually read the credits.

If the names were somehow incorporated into the minigame. But man, that's a bit o' work.
