Hey, I'm gonna learn how to use directX (9)

* I already know OpenGL, so if I'd really like if there existed some book or tutorial that attacks learning directx from the perspective of someone who already knows opengl (function equivalents, etc)

* I want to know how to do shaders and junk too, a lot of tutorials for graphics APIs just cover basic fixed function junk

* I don't care too much about 3D and lighting and junk

if anyone could recommend a good book or tutorial for that stuff, I'd be delighted.

I'm not stupid, I don't need to be walked through what a triangle is or whatever, but I also don't know anything about directx

definitely download the sdk! the tuts that are apart of it are very enlightening.

Wahey Smiley My tutor at university wrote that. It is a good starting point for getting stuff on screen.
