Hey guys, my name is Timo - AriesT's the artist name - and I’m creating remixes of video game music for 4 years now. Back then, I bought the music tool Reason 3.0, which is pretty good for a semi-professional artist like me. It’s easy to use and got a quite good sound if you know how to make it. I decided to stay independent because I noticed to not have any chance in the big business. Since 2008, I got an account on YouTube which will be uploaded every month. So yeah, I finish one remix a month. Anyway, the remixes are mostly from 8- or 16-bit game classics like Terranigma, Lufia 2, Zelda and many more. My aim is to improve my style with every track I create. You might notice the improvement, if you listen to my remixes in chronological order. I’ll show you some of my best works: Terranigma Resurrection RemixMetroid Prime Opening ThemeForest Maze Trance MixFinal Fantasy Prelude Trance MixChrono Trigger Wind Scene(600 AD) Multi MixMy tribute to MorrowindI also have some self-made tracks: The Last Travel SoundtrackUndiscovered GalaxyI hope you like it and might visit my YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/AriesT1Maybe I’m even good enough for some minor indie projects. Thank you for your attention. ~AriesT

Thank you for your comment. The community might tell me, which one of the 5 parts (Piano, Pop, Trance, Ambient, Orchestra) in the Chrono Trigger remix is the best in their opinion. Please listen the track completely if you want to vote. The winning part will be re-arranged and uploaded seperately in April.

Hm as I said on the YT comments I think the piano part is the best, with the trance part coming in second. The pop ballad part made me chuckle.

Love the remixes! The FF one is great.
Also, I voted. (My favorite part of the Chrono Trigger remix was the Trance style--it was very well done.)

Oh god, the forest remix brought me so many good memories, and the song is so upbeat! Incredible.

I love it. Made me wish I had got further into Morrowind. Do you have a last.fm thing, because it would be great to add your music on there and I know other people would like them.

I tried last.fm but unfortunately no one saw me there neither did someone listen to my tracks. Therefore, I'd like to stay YouTube-only. But feel free to spread my remixes at YouTube. Maybe someday someone will spot me, so I can make music for a bigger project.

Its up to you, but your only one person, your methods of propagation compared to the big boys are limited.
The things you can do is put yourself on as many places as possible and rely on word of mouth.
You wont get returns or responses from all of them, but the more places you are, the more likely of a response. I thought last.fm would be perfect for that with its recommendations and random playing.
By the way I think the link for that song is messed up you added some extra text after it and it makes it go haywire.

Check. Fixed the link, it should work now. I tried myspace a while ago but it does not seem to work well since noone knows you there and it is almost impossible to build up a fan base if you're not at least famous in your home country. Twitter does also not help, I'm posting every new remix there and my own website is messed up, gotta rebuild it with a blog software soon, so it looks good and catches some fans.
My problem is, you already said it, I am alone and there is a lack of vitamin C (connections).
Thats why I joined tigsource. There are a lot of smart people here.

Everybody loves Terrnigma because it is just one of the best RPGs ever made. Story and gameplay are still top notch. Current J-RPGs can learn a lesson from those old RPGs from the SNES era. And the soundtrack is perfect to mix the tracks. I'm planning to make a new Terranigma remix this year.

Once again, I've made something new. Too bad there were not comments here for the last remix. This time I remixed the Shrine of Light theme from Final Fantasy Mystic Quest. I always loved this song, in fact, FFMQ had an excellent soundtrack. I made a pop ballad + orchestra version of it. Anyway, enjoy the remix! Shrine of Light Pop Orchestra Remix
