There's a novel called The Floating Admiral, in which some of the more famous detective fiction writers of the time got together and decided to write a mystery. Each person had responsibility for one chapter, and the idea was to have a cohesive story at the end of it all. I don't think we would be very successful at that. However, it might be interesting to take a deliberate stab at it! In the interests of making some sort of sense, the best writers would have to be at the beginning and end, the end especially, but there's no reason that anyone can't participate, just as was true of the comicompo. Each person will have a week to write up to the goal of a page (except for the final person, who will have some leeway to allow for the madness which may ensue), and they'll post what they write here in the thread for all to see. Then, the next person will write, and so on and so on. Just note that this is not like the comicompo in that what's been written so far is visible. In the end we'll have either a complete tale or utter madness, but hopefully it will be entertaining nonetheless!
