Hello!

Long time lurker here.

Obviously I'm looking for a pixel artist. I've gotten back into game dev after quite a while, and I'd love to make a simple, retro platformer to start off with, as a get-to-know-each-other project. A few animation cycles for the main character, handful of level tilesets and baddies. Some interesting hook and we're off.

I'm pretty capable with programming and music, so I need someone to push pixels for 100% of the project. It'd be cool if this person is interested in helping out with level design and concept development. I'd love to collaborate on music and sound as well if that is something that could work.

Not really interested in taking this commercial for now—I'm thinking free (maybe open source) Flash games.

Peace.

If you wish to make a video game from scratch, you must first invent the universe.

I should have been more clear—I haven't programmed a game to completion in over a half decade. I've been mostly doing backend web development and algorithmic number-crunching. I could have had an engine prototype ready, but I don't. Most of my soundtrack-esque music isn't on the internet anymore, but how about this:

Are you sure? Try again, I guess—I'm currently listening to it via that link.

Thanks! That was part of a pretty large suite that I have lost somewhere. I should hunt for it.

Gah, don't like bumping, but I'm still looking for a pixel artist.

I'd love to work with you.

Here are a few mockups I did. Since I can't code for crap.
