He even posted on the Game Maker forums, which is weird considering that his site specifies that the platform must be cross-platform and Game Maker isn't.

I've heard J Fizzle isn't even a real person. He's an algorithm run wild on the internet: an abstract idea which exists on many platforms and in many places simultaneously.
J Fizzle is in everyone of us, that's why "the Powers" will never take us down. Last night I went to a random gardening forum and I spammed them with the JForce games.com needs programmer propaganda, because JForce games.com doesn't forgive.

Anyone know how much it would cost to hire Keanu Reeves to read this site to me?

You don't "hire" him. That's yesterday's business model. You're supposed to Guarantee Profit Share once he's read the entire site.

I'm beginning to think that it might all be a joke.
Then again, that comic is pretty rad...

Even without the tongue lashing, I doubt many of these posters do anything more than hit and run raids.

Aw geez, how's he ever going to finish his game now? That's $100,000 down the drain, man.

My fervent hope is that he contracts the game development division of Halliburton.

If they actually make it, I will so buy it. I mean, after I get the money for Cortex Command, Eschalon Book 1, and, you know, maybe like some high tech waterdrill thing?

Me too -- they obviously have desire and good intentions, it's just that their inexperience causes them to have no idea how hard it is to actually finish a game, except in a very theoretical sense. I'll be happy if they proved me wrong though.

Funny how well (albeit HIGHLY PRETENTIOUS) written out goal dissertations lead to lessons in humility.
