it's funny because no one seems to know that you can just download the game from desura website without having Desura client installed, you know, a rar package with the game

Can you also pay for it without having the client installed? I never looked at that, and Desura cetainly suggests that you need the client to buy their games. And yes, you can buy standalone games on Desura, but you won't get the auto-update notices.

yes you can buy it without installing Desura, haha, that's why my game has auto-updater :D
