So who here owns this awesome console? It's got a lot of good homebrew apparently.
I'm getting one this weekend, most likely. I can't wait. I want it :D.

Really? I thought Dreamcast was, hum, dead. It is dead, but for its short life it had some of the most quirky interesting games. You can buy it for pretty cheap last time I checked. I don't have one, I almost bought one but someone out bid me in the last second, for a 2 Dreamcast all perifirials several games set.

Dreamcast is also a very popular console for homebrew games. I think there are plenty of doujin shmups for it, for example. You just have to look around.

Someone ported Super Mario War to it as well And yes, it is dead, but there are consoles circulating. I need one.

Anyone has a link to a website compiling homebrew DC titles or it's juste better to search around?

Well, since I don't have a DC myself I never bothered to look around for them. Sorry I can't be much help.

I have one somewhere in storage. Great system, really. I only just recently found out about the homebrew scene for the DC, but I haven't been able to try any of the stuff yet. Do have some burned copies of Jet Grind Radio and Bangai-O, though. I'll have to dig it out soon.

A few years ago I was looking to get one set up for the homebrew stuff, but I thought I'd have to get one with an ethernet adaptor.

Someone stole my Dreamcast Fishing Rod Controller + SoulCalibur = Priceless (You do a soul charge by winding up the reel! ) Other than that, Shenmue was an interesting ride, ride being an appropriate word I think, special events happening at pretty regular occurrences to keep the flow going. Stuff like forklift truck racing and strange minigames make it a little bit more interesting than just PRESS BUTTON NOW TO NOT DIE sequences.

You know, normally I hate that stuff, but I actually really enjoyed Shenmue.
At the time, it seemed kind of awesome and novel to have this game where you're just this young guy doing stuff in a somewhat more realistic setting, and it had a lot of fun little extras.

I sold my dreamcast a few years ago when i was broke and needed to eat. In retrospect, I should have sold a kidney instead.

But then again, if you had done that, you wouldn't be eating much. DILEMMA

But then again, if you had done that, you wouldn't be eating much. ...which would mean he would have more time to spend with his Dreamcast. Chah!

Power Stone is still my favorite fighting game.
I wonder who's got my Dreamcast now. I hope it didn't end up on the wrong side of my brothers divorce/separation.
AHA, finally a reason to buy a PSP! Didn't know they had released a remake.

I did have one, though I have no idea where it is now after I've moved home about 2/3 times, annoyingly. Did get back into the mood with Triggerheart Excelia today. There were so many great games on it too; Power Stone, Shenmue, Phantasy Star, Skies of Arcadia, Jet Set Radio. Can't wait to see more of those games return again.. no matter how long I have to wait.

I had a dreamcast!
I still have it in a drawer somewhere! But the controllers (and subsequently the memory cards) and all the wires for it were lost/stolen!
Which really, really sucks.
Skies of Arcadia kicks Final Fantasy I-XII's collective ass!
