I loved the original DS, may get this one at some point. If I do I will get the XL one though cause big screens are epic.

I'm reaching a new low. Couldn't hold it after receiving my US version of Fire Emblem and ordered an US 3DS XL Now I'm praying for the UPS guy to drop by whenever my wife is out to not get catched red handed.

Still making my way (very slowly) through Final Fantasy Theatrhythm, which I'm enjoying. However, I've reached FFXI and XII in the Series Mode; I'm not too familiar with the music of these games as I never played them, so I'm not sure how much I will enjoy playing with the music. The previous series' music were quite the nostalgia trip for me, so here's hoping that XI and XIII's rounds will provide a new musical experience for me. I recently picked up Rhythm Paradise and Jam With The Band for more rhythm-based fun

Monster Hunter 3 is coming out in a few days. Is it worth picking up even if I'm missing out on the multiplayer? It's local multiplayer only if I don't own a Wii U I can connect it to right?

mh3 is has a dedicated SP mode and is a lot more fun singleplayer than all other games in the series. it's also imo the best place to start if you havent played MH.
so yeah you'll have fun solo, or at least i did with mh3 wii.

Has anyone bought the full version of Harmoknight? I downloaded the demo and liked what I saw. It's like it's taken the concept of Bit Trip Runner, but done it right. If it can hold that up over 50 levels it looks like it'll be a winner.

It looks and sounds superior to bit trip runner. I believe there is a lot more gameplay variety too.

The 3d hurt my head when I started with it too. I had to turn it off on certain levels of Pilotwings or I'd lose focus and crash. I think you get used to holding the 3DS in the right spot after a while. Since playing Mario 3D land and Paper Mario I haven't felt the urge to take the 3D slider off of max.
I'm interested in Luigi's Mansion as well, but haven't played it outside maybe a minute at an in-store demo.

I have never once experienced headaches from any type of 3D. Luck me I guess.

it depends on your eyes. i heard that 3d is more likely to cause eyestrain when you have better vision on one eye than the other.

If I put the slider on max, I can barely distinguish stuff on screen most of the times, and have to get the console really still while playing, so mine never leaves the middle setting.

Luigi's Mansion is quite fun. Lots of tiny details in the characters and environments. What I've played so far seems to be it reuses the levels a lot, but in different configurations and with different challenges and hidden stuff for replay. I can see it getting repetitive though, although it hasn't yet. Multiplayer is great fun, randomly generated tower floors full of ghosts to team up on (and 1-cart download play.)

I'm loving Luigi's Mansion lots. It really takes pleasure in the little details like hoovering up coins, which makes the whole thing quite addictive for me. Plus some great atmosphere and lighting effects at times. I'm on the fourth mansion and haven't found it too repetetive so far as each level always opens up new rooms, and each mansion feels significantly different.
