Who we are:
We're a social gaming company looking to expand into the Flash market.  We're looking for one or more motivated Flash artist(s) to help visualize our game.  We're willing to pay a premium for a talented artist who can deal with rapid development cycles.

What we need:
Space Style game (vector or sprite, overhead view)
-15 Spaceships (will provide reference material, ~100px)
-30 icons representing various equipment (48px)
-6 moons
-Spacestation components (must tile)

Sims-style Game (cutesy style, sprite, isometric view)
-Human characters: (walking animation, possible other animations, ~100px, preference to modular characters with paper-doll-style clothes + skin color + hair)
-10 types of walls (will provide details)
-10 types of floors (will provide details)
-10 Decorations (plants/tables/chairs)

How much we pay:
Our art budget is up to $5k per game, depending on how good the art is and how quickly it can be done.  We also have more projects coming up in the future, so this could lead into more work later on.

If are interested in and experienced with any of the above art, message me with a portfolio for more details.

We would prefer more information on this. Like what is the game about, how much work are we going to do and how much are we getting paid for.

This looks cool. I am just rounding off a project this week that involved getting sprites ready for flash. It involved an animated background, ui elements, 16 animated characters with 3 separate looping sequences for various states of play dependent upon player input and also menus and new logo designs.

How do the human characters walk, in 8 directions or only in 4?

4, downleft, downright, upleft, upright. so you only need 2 sprites (upright, downright) and the others can be mirrored.

If you're interested, you can message me to get my email to ask specific questions like this.

Wait, you need to do both games? Or free to choose which to do?

You seem pretty skeptical Tongue  If you're interested, we can converse a lot more quickly directly than we can on forums.

You're free to choose which game to do - they are two separate projects.  Even within a game, we're pretty flexible, so if you're only comfortable making characters and not decorations, that's ok.  Payment method is also flexible, with preference for per-milestone.  Yes, we have plenty of real money to pay you with.  We'd much rather get someone talented and pay the premium.

I do have an email account, shocking though it may be Tongue

We don't have a website because we make Facebook games, and a website just isn't that important.  Here's our biggest game at the moment:
http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=118674881342

Also: you're a grump.

I would've been interested if you hadn't called me a grump. Good luck finding an artist with that attitude.

We get a lot of snarky responses about not having a website from traditional game devs all the time, but obviously this wasn't that bad.  I was mostly just playing with the grump comment, but my apologies if it seemed more serious than it was Tongue

I think if you have a link (as you do) under your posts - it's good if it leads onto a working page, as when it doesn't it can leave a negative 1st impression to people who don't already know you.
