Caves of Wonder
Caves of Wonder is a roguelike that I will be making, using python and libtcod.

Storyline
Having heard rumors of the mighty magic lamp that grands three full wishes to those who find it, you have entered the caves of wonder in search of this magical lamp.

...

Yeah, that's it.

Current features
Random Dungeon generation
Walking around
Fog of War
Wandering bats (Which don't do anything besides wander yet)

Aladdin was an inspiration, yes. Though not particularly the disney version.

Magic Carpets will be enemies. Forbidden Gems will probably exist too (thinking some sort of trap-system, with not all gems being actually forbidden.)

Looking forward to the finished product! I should give libtcod another chance after I failed (miserably, no less) to port it to Ruby. Concerned

ah, a roguelike without diagonal movement and numpad keys?!?! I guess you haven't implemented that yet Tongue

cool level generator, not a fan of those narrow hallways though.

New Screenshot

New features:
Monsters will now attack, rather than flutter around randomly.
Experience will be gained for killing monsters.
With enough experience, you will level up.
A cleaner and more readable UI.
