How well do you know your video games? The game features more than 300 levels ranging from triple A titles to small Indie Games. Can you name those games with a single screenshot? Try it out! I decided to just release it as is. I hope you enjoy it. It's got loading and sound issues, which I will fix ASAP!

this needs: -preloader -high score -parse spaces (it didn't accept my answer because of a trailing space)

15275 points yay
This is fun! I think it's a bit too lax with the skipping penalties maybe but at least you lose some time on that and it wouldn't work too well without the ability to skip.

Yea skip works out cause you waste time doing it. I got to like level 65 and couldn't get a game that I actually knew to pop up so I ran out of time. Advanced Wars isn't an answer to the screeshot that is clearly advanced wars Must be some sequel.

I could NOT get it to recognize Yoshi's Island, Yoshis Island, Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, etc.

Same here. I even tried Super Mario Advance 3, once it came up again! Does your programming contain the apostrophe, and NOT be within quotations? 10,750 pts = shameful!

Great game Dom. Btw, have you thinked of making "Geek Mind Online"? Just 'cause that would be cool, and maybe with possibility to submit "levels" to keep it interesting. [EDIT]there is a bug in timer: once it gets under 10 it wont change colour back to black

Is it possible to change this thread into the feedback thread? I'll be fixing the game soon and I need some feedback on what I should fix, especially answers.

For starters, maybe you could fix it so that "Mega man" and "Megaman" give the same results. Also, having to always put a hyphen in Pac-man gets annoying after a while.
And this is just me, but I would like if it when you skipped a question, it told you what the game was called.

33000 points, alright. And I could've done a lot better, but it wasn't accepting Super Smash Brothers Brawl, and I wasted a lot of time with it, and then when it didn't accept Yoshi's Island it was the final nail in the coffin.

Nice!
We got up to level 50 something. The music stopped looping somewhere along the line though, which made us sad.
Well done on accepting partial answers btw! While we had a few places where we knew the game and got dinged (I think we called it "teenage mutant ninja turtles" and it wanted TMNT) but mostly it was pretty forgiving if we just said "Castlevania" instead of, say, "Castlevania: Rondo of Blood" or whatever.
Fun stuff!

Geek Mind has been played over 250,000 times this week-end. I mean, WOW. This is making me so incredibly happy. I'd like to thank you all for playing and making me proud of my little game. That's a huge number!! I can't believe it!! ^_^ This number is thanks to all the websites who promoted Geek Mind, mainly Kotaku, Bytejacker, GoNintendo, and many others. Since Kotaku covered the game on friday, the numbers of players has gone through the roof. Which is why I'd also love to thank SquareSpace for not exploding. I'm almost 1tb over my bandwidth limit, yet they're cool enough not to shut down my site. Thanks a million guys! :D Thanks for sharing Geek Mind on forums and social sites like 4Chan, Neogaf, Facebook and Twitter too! I think at least 20% of the total visits are due to you guys sharing it to the world. So thanks! That little hiccup on the bandwidth side of things means I had to move the game over to Kongregate. But I also took the opportunity to upload a new version of Geek Mind, which hopefully fixes all issues you might have had with some levels and with answer typing in general. I even threw in a couple new levels to keep things fresh! So please enjoy the new Geek Mind Extra on Kongregate!THANKS AGAIN!!!

Been quite a while since anyone posted, so I should just go ahead and tell you that the music doesn't loop.
Also, I would like to know the name of the games that I skip.
