My page was a story all about how my life got flipped, turned upside down.
My page was a story all about how JR Hill life got flipped, turned upside down.
So I guess JR Hill's life is back to the way it was now. Unless somebody else flipped, turned it upside down.

Xerus encouraged people against that, but you know some people just want to flip everthing upside down.
My page took on a somewhat weird tangent, but I did maintain the characters and continuity as best as I could (though in honesty what was there to work with was pretty simple). Same here . Though the way I did it, the next page was free to either do something with it or ignore it, so hopefully it went ok

The page I followed had no backgrounds so I had to completely come up with a location myself which couldn't possibly be the same. Unless it was meant to be a void, making me the one ruining continuity, HRRRGGH!!

Yeah, I usually try to keep the previous page's story going as closely as possible with the information I've got, because I figure that even in doing so the story's gonna end up being crazy weird anyways, so you don't really need to try harder to make it make less sense.

Would a Pass It On game compo be possible? I can't think of what the rules would be, but there might be something there. It could be a train wreck, of course.

Sounds feasible but would require sharing technical knowledge and being very responsible... also, the first ones would establish the framework while the latter ones get to have more fun doing funny things.... Also, IMO implementing software requires more cohesion than drawing a comic page, also probably more time invested that could be ruined by the next-developer

maybe if it was only pass-it-on for the dialogue, level design, graphics... If you make the code pass-it-on, then suddenly everyone needs to be able to read the same languages, and be really good at commenting, etc. It would definitely be a cool idea for a game with user-created content though!

It could work if you got a bunch of people who could use the same framework. Something like Adventure Game Studio, where each person could create a room, then send their room with all the objects to the next person...Hm...it would be complicated, but I think it could be done. (I tried something similar with Inform 6, but no one seemed interested...)

You silly, K&P can barely do anything! I guess this gamecompo thing would work better with flash / game maker, since that's what most people use nowadays and these tools are relatively easy to use than say, c++.

I'm going to start a pass it on 3d game engine where each person writes one line of code and only gets to see the line before them.
