Hi, I'm trying to put off actually doing some work on my game under the guise of research and I was wondering if you people could help me with that.
What I'm looking for is some good examples of 16-bit platformer-ish tiles that stitch together seamlessly to form an organic mass (ie. not a discrete bunch of block tiles). They're gonna be breakable, with an autotiler to 'heal' them in realtime, so for preference I don't want any that have a crown of grass (see: Green Hill Zone) or anything that could mess with that - just solid earth/sand/rock/slime/flesh etc.
Some examples of what I'm looking for:

I won't be swiping anything directly - this is just for reference - so if people have their own tiles that they're ok with me leering at, or examples from indie games in general, that would be cool too.
Thankyou!!!
