The Face of Corruption Chapter One: A Sleepless Night Story:Guy Marlowe; a homicide detective for the Melbourne police force has watched his life decay to nothing. His wife left him due to his long hours and his obsession with work which has left him guilt-ridden. One late evening he is assaulted by a mysterious assailant and barely survives the attack. Who would have done this and why? Was it random? Is it linked to one of the many homicides he's recently worked on? Or is it something more shocking? Find out in the first chapter. Screenshots:Team:On a side note the reason why I never finished my previous projects was because it was purely a solo job. Now I have a small ensemble. InspirationI wanted to develop a game that was inspired two classic to me. Both being Martian Memorandum and Amazon: Guardians of Eden. So I have taken aspects of the serial formula with a noir setting and this is what I have come up with. Let's hope I don't lose sight of making this game. Whoooooa. Live action adventure gaming? Amazing. Smooth too. You don't see enough of them. Well, I don't see enough of them. And, uh, a bonus point for being Australian. Full voice acting!

Can't wait I've not played a good game in this format since the original Broken Sword games on the PS1 (haven't played the others), and even longer since an FMV game... actually, around the same time, I think it was X-Files for the PS1. Looks fantastic

Haha, naaa..
This is my contribution to the adventure game community. And to prove a point that FMV games weren't always as bad as people made them out to be.
Ripper, Black Dahlia, Gabriel Knights 2, Under a Killing Moon, The Pandora Directive and Overseer all come to mind.
They were really decent games especially the Tex Murphy series.

Here's is another screenshot, its a WIP as I have to add other characters into this room. In the background there is rain falling but you can't really see it in this screenshot.

I know you're doing voice overs, but it's funny how those dialog mockups actually look pretty cool.

Cheers, there will be an option to turn them off and on. Gives the whole game a comic book feel.

If you look at the first post, I have now added a new video showcasing the vocal acting in the game. That's right all the SPEECH.

Woah, really nice! With what equipment do you do the voice acting?
(The music is a tad too loud, but I presume that the player can turn it down.)

Point taken, I haven't added in the option to turn down the music as such yet. But I'll add that implementation in. The voice acting is done by a few a people via correspondence over the internet from the Voice Acting Alliance. I did some post-production on them though using Cubase 5 with a few special VSTs to make them sound clearer.

Wow looks great xenogia! The style is really awesome, you definitely nailed the film noir/comic style! It seems like quite an ambitious project but I can't wait to try it out!
