Paper Dreams v2

An updated version of Paper Dreams that will soon be ported to Flash by Kristian Macanga.

This update features two new levels: outerspace and dreamworld, new weapons, over a dozen new enemies, bombs, changing weather and new gameplay.

Arrow keys to move. Z to shoot. Collect the powerups and kill the enemies.

Completely hand drawn.

A few small glitches may still linger.

Inspired by Ad Nauseam 2 by cactus.

Fun and cute. Definitely looks like a child's fridgerator drawings come to life in the form of a shmup.

Cool stuff, love the graphical style. Reminds me of cactus's "Ad Nauseam" (not that you have to be familiar with it) - probably because of the power-ups and power-downs. I like the idea of a shooter where you don't really fly through anywhere. And again, the style is awesome - LOSER, hehe.

Yes, Ad Nauseam was my main influence.

Glad you guys enjoyed it!

I was never a fan of such art style but this looks really smooth!  Hand Thumbs Up Right

Just a minor gripe: why is the effect option set to off at the start? I think it looks good with it. If youre worried about performance, dont be. My computer is pretty low-end but it still goes full speed.
