[Greater Beast]

After much deliberation, (including the rejection of "Morbidly Obese Scooter Uprising", "Drunken Big Game Hunter", and "Low G Sniper Maxx") I decided to go with "Fantasy Croquet Kid"!

I know, it's not the most insanely-insane of titles, but it was the only title that immediately gave me a mental picture of what the game would be: a scared-out-of-his-mind kid fighting off gigantic bugs with a croquet mallet. 

*tosses tophat into ring*

Sorry about the large downoad...the final version will hopefuly have several variations that lead into other compositions.  I really want the game music to be reminiscent of classical music but still chip-tuney-as-hell.

Sadly, over-ambition coupled with time restrictions and too many topology assignments have spelled out the doom for FCK's eligibility in the VGNG competition.  However, there will come a day when FCK does see the light of day again.  Perhaps a month, perhaps two...I want to take the time and care necessary to make this game something special.  So I leave you with some screen mockups assembled from in-game sprites and backgrounds as well as a short plot teaser:




A sunny day!  You're playing a casual croquet match in the neighborhood park.  Then: an eartquake! The sky goes dark...you hear the earth itself splitting open!  Enormous bugs spring from the fissures in the ground and swarm towards you.  Now you only have one option: TO FIGHT.

I don't know, your game reminded me of this album.  I would finish this if I were you; everything looks excellent.
