So I have a final project for a Matlab class that I am taking in school and decided to attempt to program a game.

Hopefully, since my grade is on the line, I will procure enough modivation to actually complete it.

It's a colormatching puzzle game. I've already done some work on it, but it is not nearly ready to play.

Here is an example of art that I am trying to implement:

This is going to be a disaster.
Wish me luck.

Trying is half the battle.

This is about where I am right now.
I think that it's obvious that I am really, really new to this.

alright so not sure why you kind of have it all squashed, but right off. I would say I think your colors need work. they are all super saturated. except for the orange. I think you need to desaturate them. granted I enjoy desaturated colors, so thats my personal opinion, but I would suggest working with the colors a little bit. maybe like this

if you need any help feel free to PM me.

The image looks squished like that right now because I hadn't decided what the entire interface will look like and let Matlab do whatever the hell it wanted.

I probably am going to add more white to everything to make it seem playful. Right now I agree that the colors are too garish.

But my priorities are to get the game running first (it's still unplayable).

This is a very stupid question, but what (ideally free) website would you guys recommend to host this game (once it is playable)?

It may not look much different than the previous image, but this one actually works.

Its probably too tall now.

With the game logic basically done, I can start working on the important details.

Some devlog this turned out to be.  Durr...?

Sorry that I haven't updated at all for a long time. School is a bitch, and I've already turned in the game for the class. It kinda sucks, but if anyone is interested to look at it, they can PM their email address so that I can send it to them.
