Hey hey, there's a 40x30 pixel java game dev compo currently running over at javagaming.org.

It's java only, unfortunately, but perhaps this would be a good reason to learn it? Wink

Would like to join but have no knowledge of Java.  I really dig the limitations on color and resolution in this contest.

Spent the past week or so trying to get G-Java (Game Maker to Java converter) to work and failed hard.

Anyone know of any Java game makers with minimal coding experience required?

Only lead I've found is Greenfoot

not really a game maker but you can make games with it. no idea if it's against the contests rules or anything
