So, made a 57x57 icon out of 2 pngs that had some transparency. Binary was repeatedly rejected by Apple claiming my Icon file was "0x0" pixels.

Tried opening in Preview, saving as jpeg then back to png, same problem. Tried making a white layer in Photoshop and merging my Icon picture with it. Same.

Upgraded to Snow Leopard, and in the project's plist file I removed the value for "Icon", which was "Icon.png". Tested by deleting then installing the app on my iPod and yep, the icon shows from automagic. Tried sending to Apple and voila, success.

(ps the game is totally awesome and you'll hear about that in the other forums soon  Ninja)
