The idea of the MTTJ is that the last weekend of every month, we gather up for 48 hours of jamming (just like Ludum Dare).

The monthly schedule is basically this:
  • 2 weeks of submitting themes (for the first round it's 3)
  • 5 days of voting for submitted themes
  • 2 days hardcore jammin'
  • 1 week of votin'

The schedule is flexible, obviously, depending on what happens and when the actual weekend is.

Rules:
  • Public domain art and stuff is fine.
  • If you have a pre-existing engine to use, that is fine.
  • Try to only work on the game during the jam, not the day before.

That is all.

Feel free to discuss the jam here.

(oh and someone pleeease make a better logo)

I'd like to note that Theme Voting starts in a week, and the jam is in two weeks, from 21 May 17:00 GMT to 23 May 17:00 GMT (unless I get too many complaints about the particular time).

Giant naked men.

I'm still disappointed that that didn't happen in the last TIGS competition.

Somehow I read Monthy in the title. Please let the title be related to Monthy Python.  Beg

What a way to start off finals week(s) at the University (not like any earlier weeks would have been better for my studies anyways).  Ah well, there is always next MTTJ!  Beer!  Ill have a blast participating what ever ways I can, whether that be competing, watching, playtesting, providing feedback, cheering you guys on and/or commenting.

Well, the words are in the wrong order, and it's basically the same but with a blue sparkle. Not an improvement, but definitely not worse.

It looks like he was trying to do with TIGSource what sequels sometimes do with "2", and put it between two of the words that make up the actual title, only it didn't work because TIGSource is not a number.

Otherwise I like it. Seems alot more cohesive than the current logo.

Since the theme votes were a draw (10 vs 10) I have randomly selected GIANT NAKED MEN as the theme (vs Everything is ruined forever).

Compo starts in 12 minutes.

Well, I guess I won't be participating on this one, as I'm already doing stuff for Action52Owns, but good luck to anyone that is in. Beer!

And don't feel bad if you don't get many entries Hideous, there's a lot of people in the Action52 thing.
