I used to always sign everything with a ridiculous name. I should really bring that habit back.

You know, it's interesting, I never thought about it. I just always have... now you've shaken my world, the end is nigh!

I'm not sure I'd be able to stop now after 1000s of posts even if I wanted to.

Grenades bounce
As do certain bodily appendages in several commercial games of note.

Interesting, and the physics is interesting, but...very unsatisfying personally: I like it when everything slots nicely into place.  Not as big a fan of the jumbles like what you get in that game  Sad

Grenades bounce

I actually dislike when they bounce. Like many physics-based gameplay mechanics, bouncy grenades always make it a huge pain to properly predict where they'll land, and I end up wasting a lot. It happens even in games where the grenade trajectory is drawn on the screen. Like in Gears of War, I'd lift my view JUST enough for the trajectory to go over an obstacle my enemies are using for cover, fling it, and see it explode a good distance behind them, harming no-one. It sucked.

I think he means hold onto the grenade until it's about to explode then throw it, so it explodes where you want it to.

Also, ricocheting grenades off walls around corners into groups of enemies is usually always satisfying.

I think all games needs two types of grenades. Sticky grenades that don't bounce and bouncy grenades. For different situations.

and holy hand grenades.

Some grenades, of the bouncy variety, are much nicer than others.  I never personally liked the grenades in worms, but always rather had a fondness for the grenades in quake.  (also, the grenades in counterstrike held minimal appeal for me).

Maybe cause the CS grenades had puny-ass explosions and damage.

but lets get back to physics now, shall we?
